Welcome Snaggles! Remember you from the pregnancy thread. Glad you hear your little one arrived safe and well - if dramatically. Hope you've got plenty of tips for us first-timers!MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090

Hi Lu T, I remember you too, and your marathon 3 day labour (I think it was 3 days....or was it more?). Glad your little one is doing well.
I'm not sure I've got any tips really, everything I CAN remember seems to be out of date, and I feel just as confused as the first time round lol! DD is being an angel though, sleeping really well and smiling loads, which I know is probably just wind, but it's still adorable!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
It was 5 days! Don't remember much about it now though. :j
What is your little girl called?
Imogen's teeth seem to be bothering her again. She's just gone to sleep after screaming for an hour and pulling at her ear. Bless her. She's dosed up on Calpol and Nelson's powders (homeopathic remedy), so hopefully she'll get some peace and wake up in a better mood. She even turned her dinner down - which regulars will know is NOT like her at all.
Hope you're all having a better bank holiday than we are! LOL.MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -
Five days....
Isn't it weird how you don't remember much about it though! I've forgotten so much about my labour, even though I was consciously trying to remember it this time round. My brain has almost tricked me into believing I didn't feel any pain.....yeah right!
My little girl is called Natasha Grace, she's great, really placid (doesn't take after me at all!) and sleeps really well (again, doesn't take after me lol).
Poor you, and poor Imogen (lovely name, and very cute photo too!) coping with teething - I'm not looking forward to that at all. Hope it doesn't go on for too long for her."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Back to highchairs ladies. I've found the Chicco Polly here
http://www.babyequipmentcomplete.com/product_brands.php?mnuManufacturer=chicco&form=1&gclid=CPfNxJGBsYwCFQZhEAodvUTDKA
for £82.50 with free delivery. Plus, if you sign up for Google Checkout - looks like it's similar to Paypal - you get £10 off all orders over £30 before 11 June.
That makes a £100 highchair just £72.50!! :money: :money:MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -
OMG that poor little bub of mine. Obviously teething as fists permanently in mouth, teeth visible through gum but... her bum is absolutely red raw. Nappy rash so bad that it is weeping. As soon as you put cream on, the oozing rinses it off.
I've taken her to docs this afternoon and have got canesten with hydrocortisone - worst thing is we go on hols for 10 days tomorrow to France, so need it to get better and quick!0 -
The canesten with hydrocortisone will hopefully clear it up quickly purplepatch - I had some for DS when he had an infection in an unmentionable place, bless him! It was all cleared up within a couple of days. Poor little thing, she's so gorgeous, hope she feels better soon. Have a lovely holiday - where in France are you going (jealous, me?)?"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

I have the chicco polly and it is so not worth the money imo

We're staying in a villa with my parents in a little village not far from St Tropez. Flying tomorrow afternoon - keep your fingers crossed for me as got to have DD2 on my lap for the 2 hour flight (or DH's if I can persuade him!) and DD1 will need constant entertainment too. Haven't finished packing yet.... what am I doing on MSE for goodness sake!!0 -
Fingers firmly crossed! Hope you have a lovely time - sounds fantastic."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
