Congrats Suzukibabe, he certainly is gorgeous (god I'm soooo broody!)
Hey CG - here's a birthday cake for you.:bdaycake: Hope things are a little brighter today.
I haven't had chance to get a bath/shower yet today and am feeling pretty manky (sorry for sharing). OH has just got back from gym/supermarket/baby gate run, so best go and sort lunch.

Congratulations Suzukibabe - he's gorgeous! :j Can see from your sig that the weight is going up - excellent! :T
CG, happy birthday :bdaycake:(it's my Gran's birthday today too, she's 84!). Sorry to hear things are not going great, but we're here to listen if you need to vent. Hope things start looking up soon. :grouphug:
3kids, I too think you're supposed to wash all baby stuff before use. (I'm actually a bit funny - I hate the smell of new clothes, so I always wash everything before first use.Especially underwear and tops - I find it yucky that people have been touching the stuff in the shops... anyway, I'll shut up now
).

He really is gorgeous, I actually said 'ohhhh' when I looked at the photo!
He looks like he's chatting to someone on the world's smallest mobile phone."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Congratulations Suzukibabe he's so cute. Now I want a little boy too.
CG hope things start to improve. :grouphug:0 -
I washed everything before Alice was born (well OH did it for me - I was too ill) but that was because I was really obsessed with whether everything was clean enough for the baby (honestly - I made OH rewash things if they got dropped on the floor indoors) but since she was born I don't think I've even thought about prewashing things (except for second hand stuff).0

We just about managed to get to midnight ok, but then when we went to bed Izzy had other ideas! So I was up with her from 2ish for a couple of hours, then DH did a 2 hour stint too. So no sleep on top of the 2 bottles of wine we did last night, we're not feeling too hot today
She's got a temperature of around 39 and a nasty cough, so looks like we're in for a few bad nights
I see she didn't fancy making a new years resolution to sleep better then :rotfl:
Oh dear, famous last words. Not been on for a while, guess who Izzy gave her lurgy to! Turns out it was a nasty flu virus type thing. I've been ill since 2nd Jan, temperatures of 39 plus, pounding headache, horrible painful dry cough, aching body, shivers you name it. Just about feeling vaguely human today, as the temperature has just about gone down to normal, but this cough is seriously peeing me off as I just can't stop. She is a lot better, but still disturbed at night by the cough which nearly makes her sick. Nightmare. Doctor said to try her with Benylin, so will do that tonight, but she won't take anything off a spoon, so have bought a syringe from the chemist to try. Wish me luck!
Welcome suzukibabe, what a little cutie. Izzy was looking at the computer screen and saw your picture of him and she said "Baby!!! Arrrrrrrrrrr" and started blowing kisses to him! She's taken off with new words these past couple of weeks which is a source of much entertainment and cuteness... her latest word is Mackapacka her fave character in the Night Garden tv programme which entrances her. Comes out more like Mickamacka, but not going to split hairs!0 -
Sorry to hear you've been poorly purplepatch.
I've had the fluey thing too and I can't shake the cough off. I'm going to the doctors on Thursday to see if they can do anything. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Good luck with everything, poohzee.
Have had a mega hectic few days. An old friend came to visit for a few days. She has recently got divorced so is re-living her youth  (we're both only 31, but YKWIM :rotfl: ). Anyway, I'm exhausted from all the entertaining, plus Alex wasn't sleeping great (he had to share DS1's room). Am glad to have my normal, boring, happily married life back. :T
I know what you mean D! I had some old uni friends (both unmarried and childless) up just after Christmas and it is exhausting being sociable and having proper nights out with alcohol and staying up past 10pm!!!I'm 31 too!!
Purplepatch - hope you feel better soon xx0
