Thanks everyone for your replies, as I said I wasn't looking for any specific answers - just someone to sound it out to! My swelling def. isn't as bad as yours sounded Becles! I do have carpal tunnel mostly at nights and hands and ankles swollen but nothing too scary - as yet! Think will start moisturising now though!! I think I am just in a grey mood today - what with the pregnancy, my 3 year old and the horrible weather - also am weaning off my anti-depressants at the moment so the baby wont have any withdrawls when born. Thanks again for taking the time to help:T :T

Good luck with everything, poohzee. :)

Have had a mega hectic few days. An old friend came to visit for a few days. She has recently got divorced so is re-living her youth  (we're both only 31 :p, but YKWIM :rotfl: ). Anyway, I'm exhausted from all the entertaining, plus Alex wasn't sleeping great (he had to share DS1's room). Am glad to have my normal, boring, happily married life back. :T

There's a lot to be said for having one of those! I love mine...

Oh & Susan, I would like to re-distribute some of the fat back up front, but hubby says I have to wait until I've had #2 before I can have a boob job! I believe there is a new type where they suck fat from 1 part and put it in your boobs. Sounds ideal! :rotfl:

  • Hi everyone

Just wanted some optinions, should i wash all the new vests, babygrows and outfits that i have bought for my baby. Just taken it all out of the packaging and don't know whether or not to wash it. I am washing all the new sheets i have bought. Thanks - would rather wash everything now whilst i have the chance.

i washed everything before dd was born, so they were nice and soft before she wore them.
  • 3kids - i think your supposed to wash everything that touches the skin as clothes are covered in chemicals to keep them looking good on the peg that your babies skin might be too sensitive for (thats what i heard anyway) i washed all of Dannys stuff first so everything he wore would have a reconisable smell to comfort him,

Havent been on for a while as things have been so manic, the internet has been off and i have also been diagnosed with post natal anxiety disorder (which means im a fat bag of crazy who keeps going dizzy when shes out of the house and having panic attacks for no reason)
am now on anti depressants and not happy about it

Daniel has had problems too and its all been a bit much....
and to add insult to injury, its my bloody birthday tomorrow
    ugh.
  • Hi Curious George,

Sorry to hear you're having a bad time at the mo. I remember all your words of wisdom on the pregnancy board. Think i will wash everything just to be on the safe side. Hope yours and your son's problems can be sorted out. can't remember if he is your first child - but being a mum after all the hormones of pregnancy can do funny things to the sanest of people. That's coming from someone with 3 kids, one on the way and suffering with depression and OCD. Life can really throw some rubbish at us sometimes. Anway hope things improve for you soon. Happy Birthday anyway.

Have wondered over from the pregnancy thread.

Adam Thomas was born on 15th December 2007 after an emergency c-section. My waters went at 3:30 on the Friday morning, DH phoned his parents to come and stay with DS1 while we went to hospital- MIL had been on a works night out on the Thursday night :D
Was kept in hospital and on the Saturday evening was taken to delivery suite and hooked up to a drip to speed things along, babes wasn't liking it much and his heart rate was dropping so the doctor switched the drip off but babes heart rate continued to dip when i wasn't contracting.
At around 8pm the decision was made that we would be going to theatre.
At 8:36pm Adam was lifted out, after much pulling and tugging, he had the cord around his neck twice and he only weighed 4lbs 2oz.
They'd picked up on a problem with hte placenta from 35wks pg, so that's why he was so small, he wasn't getting enough 'food' from the placenta.
We stayed in hospital for a week and came home the friday before christmas.
He now weighs 5lbs 3oz and is being weighed once a week but he wont be discharged from the neonatal cmw until he is at least 6lbs.
He is just absolutley gorgeous, just tiny.
