Flylady site looks too daunting but this thread looks like it could motivate me. I read a page or two then jumped up and collected all the dry clothes from off the radiators and hung up my coat!:o

  • Happy birthday, Rach! :T :T :T

    Welcome, Tustastic! :D :T

Did everything today, I think, except cleaning the floors - will do that tomorrow - just needs a hoover since I have carpet in my bathroom and toilet ( - I know, some people hate that).

Also, didn't do my 15 mins gardening. I lasted one day before faltering - how pathetic's that?!

I noticed a motto in a Flylady email today: "Progress not perfectionism in 2007". I thought that was a good goal to have in mind. :)

The trouble is that when you know you have things left undone, you can't truly relax as they are playing through your mind like Jiminy Cricket! Even if you just achieve a couple of things off the list it is better than doing nothing and as I said a couple of days ago people tend to over estimate how long things take to do.

If you sit down with a cup of coffee when you get in from work, write down a couple of things off the list and then get up and go and do them. Make sure you do your night time routines too as these are really important for someone who works as they leave you much less stressed the next morning. Why not set a clock and actually time yourself when you are doing something, it will prove to yourself how quickly you can get something done especially if you shove some music on whilst your working. I have Housework Songs. It works wonders!
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
