HAve washed bedding, drying on radiator at present so lessen any tumble drying needed, dishwasher done once needs again now, and trying to keep on top of toy mess else overwhelming later. Kitchen messy as my sister was here for morning so need to sort that mess out 1st i think , after reading karen's post think need to be motivated!!!!!!!!!

It took me two hours to do our bedroom! I did the double chest of drawers which was full to brimming but then I thought I might as well organise all the space in the bedroom. So, I emptied the wardrobe and the drawers under that and had a massive clear out. This resulted in a bag of rubbish (only the one so I was quite impressed) and two bags for the charity shop.

In total there were 21 drawers that were bursting to the seams and a wardrobe that things fell out of when you opened it. Now, 9 drawers are empty and the wardrobe is all co-ordinated and I can find things in it. Only draw back was that I only had 15 mins left for my sons room.

Then I did a practise massage as I have an assessment tonight at college, followed by an hour on an assignment for my OU course and now i'm off to college. Children at my mum's for tea, bless her! I will certainly sleep tonight but not before checking in here to see what I have to do tomorrow.

    Have a fun evening xx

    Nothing left!
  • Todays tasks are:

    Dailies:
Swish and swipe bathroom and kitchen
    Hoover downstairs
    Clear out fireplace

    Moggins:
Tackle master bedroom - remove all dirty laundry, strip beds, shove in washer. Dust, hoover bedroom. Woot, ahead of the plan! stripped the bed and put a load in this am. 1 to do this eve when home from w**k

Spend 1 hour tackling either one childs room or spare bedroom, sorting and organising. Moggins how did you know! Just a few more bits to remove so my new lodger can make it his own. only problem being where to put the bits!

Take a good look at the landing - I looked saw a 1/2m by 1/2m square of carpet and thought wow that was the easiest task!

Evening girls, well it's a late post from me, but better late than never, had internet issues today and then DP hijacked it when it worked, he's naffed off to work now so I can have my computer back!! :D Didn't know what the list was for today so will have to do it tonight, but did get all my dailies done and a mountain of laundry!

Right keeping it short and sweet - usual daily 30 to work from, can't be bothered to retype it all but most is done, inc 4 loads washing AND THERE IS A BOTTOM OF MY LAUNDRY BASKET!!!!! Just got to do 10 mins living room before bed (inc clean floor again), rubbish out, sort dogs, my dinner, bath the kids and get them to bed, and clothes for us all for tomorrow!

    Moggins list :
Tackle master bedroom - remove all dirty laundry, strip beds, shove in washer. Dust, hoover bedroom.
(will have to strip bed tomorrow not enough time to dry now)
Spend 1 hour tackling either one childs room or spare bedroom, sorting and organising. THATS JUST BEING PLAIN EVIL I CALL THAT MISSION IMPOSSIBLE!
Take a good look at the landing (wish mine was smaller :( )

Right I best start on those tasks then!
One day I might be more organised...........

I will have to postpone most of today's list for another time. I have finished the first coat of paint in DD's room, and as there is nothing in there apart from the units and wardrobe, all of which are practically empty, I reckon that should count as doing a child's room!;)

However, one drawback of living in a smallish house, is that emptying the one bedroom, the smallest one at that, (10x8, perhaps?) means that the contents seem to be in every other room in the house!! And although there's nothing of hers in the hallway or on the landing, there are all the pots, brushes, rollers, newspaper and stepladder!

I have to get this finished by the weekend, as I can't take the mess everywhere, must be the flybaby training beginning to show.;)

DD has promised me faithfully that she will sort through everything before she puts it back in her room. Well, as long as she doesn't add to the collection of things that are to go on ebay, currently in the previously cleared space in my room, that's great.

Off to cook dinner, DS1 says he's starving.

So sorry to hear about your migrane! I've suffered from a few over time, and I know how debilitating they can be. Everything has to stop! Dont worry about the housework - it will still be there tomorrow. The most important thing is to get yourself right. Take some time out for yourself, and the rest will follow. All hugs and kisses.

  • this is it, take care of yourself. The housework can always wait. :)

Quite pleased with today's efforts. Stripped the bed and dusted/hoovered all of upstairs, including cobwebs! Tidied the spare bedroom/office, which never gets used because it's just not set up well enough. So I sat down and came up with a new room plan which makes better use of the space and the furniture we have - a couple of creative "lightbulb" moments too! DH is up for the idea so hopefully by the end of the weekend we'll have a much better laid out room. It does need a coat of paint - we spent ages sorting the walls out last year and painted it a fresh blue, but it's just too dark. I want to paint it an off-white, but it should be easy now the walls are sorted. Won't do that for a few weeks yet though. :)

The hoover wasn't sucking up very well, so while I had DH's attention I got his help in checking the belt - lo and behold it had snapped and needed changing, which is a difficult two-person job. But it's done now, so I'm happy! It was the last one I had on hand, so in Flylady style I will go online this evening and order some more to have ready for next time.

Have had a bad day flylady wise, but a really good day apart from that. Spent all morning getting my teaching folder up-to-date for my meeting with my link tutor at 1.30. I managed to get it all finished in time, and got really good marks in all of my assessment. By the time I got home, it was 3.00 and I hadn't had any lunch. So, made myself some healthy wholemeal pitta pockets, and sat down in front of the tv - fatal! ;) Anyway, to cut a long story short, I just woke up in time for Home and Away, and haven't done any of the things that I had planned to do. I'm living up to my name (mouse is my OH's name for me - short for dormouse, cos when we first met, I was always sleeping). :rotfl:

Well, I suppose I had better make up for it by making sure that I empty the DW and do a load of washing.

Well done to all of you who did fly today. Hopefully I'll feel more motivated to do some flying when I get home from uni tomorrow at 5.00 after 2 hours of science and IT!
