Well, I've done all the jobs that were listed for today and am feeling very pleased with myself. I've only been flyladying for two days and the difference is amazing. Even my six year old went to put something down, saw my face and quickly put it away, hee hee, it's rubbing off on them. Can't wait for tomorrow's list so I can plan when I'll do stuff. Is this initial excitement normal....can I expect to stop enjoying this soon?
Thanks again for a fantasitic thread xxJanuary budget
Nothing left!0 -
Hi all,
I have been away over xmas/new year so haven't seen this thread yet, i am definately joining the challenge though, although the house is less cluttered than this time last year, it still gets on top of me sometimes.
Heres to a good 2007!

Hi sexy mouse chocaholic11 cha97michelle and all other teachers/people linked to teachers and teaching!
I have been back at school since last Thursday and I did at first think I would have to totally give up on flying but with a few words of encouragement (thanks moggins) I'm sticking with it.
I find if I take a note of the list I can see what's manageable for me and just shuffle other things around. I'm lucky that I live alone in a small flat so many things might not be relevant! I've also decided that if I finish things off on Saturday and Sunday mornings and leave the rest of the weekend for chilling! (Somewhere I fit in marking and planning obviously!)
I find my key activities that I do nightly and make me feel more organised and just less cluttered are: washing up, cleaning my kitchen surfaces, putting any washing in, tidying living room and organising paperwork into piles (e.g. to be filed/taken to school/recycled blah blah)
At school I try to fly too! Every night before I leave my key acytivities are:
I make sure my classroom surfaces are ALL clear (a challenge in itself), I tidy my desk (it really helps to come in and see things tidy to start the day!), I write the next days date on the board (just one of those things that seems easier to do) and I lay out the activities for the first session. I also file all my resources at the end of the week into subject folders with the planning they relate to. If I don't use it next year I plan to throw it away. The "just in case" principle does not work in my mind! Ha!
It soon becomes a routine and really saves time. In September I was working 7.30 - 6. Since October half term I've worked 7.45 - 5.00. And all that extra time I can be home, getting tidy and then fed so I get time to relax!
Sorry that was a huge message and double sorry to anyone that it wasn't relevant too!Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -
Evening All
Was aprehensive coming on here today as didnt know todays mission and havnt done much flying but am really please I did as I did the hoovering that was in the list and my front room is clean. I tided the coffee table this morning (only part of front room that is cluttered) so class that as a hotspot too. Am in process of doing paperwork now so actually am up straight.
Dont know what will get done tomorrow as have a serious amount of paperwork to get thro and also some revision for college on wednesday but will see how I go.0 -
Well done loumac - if you're managing to fly at school as well, you are very organised! I'm still stuck at trying to find a place for everything! ( I suspect that particular os advice is really where I come unstuck everywhere in my life!)Resolution:
