  • off topic i know but we just got an excellent comb from the pharmacy - sadly the packaging is gone so i don't know what its called but it has really long teeth which are sort of spiralled and gets eggs out as well - 10yo dd has been clear for two weeks now which is unheard of - cost about a tenner but worth it

    Monday 8th January.

    Today

    [STRIKE]WM x2
    TDx2
    DWx2
    BMx2
Fold dry clothing[/STRIKE] and put away
    Vacuum the boys room
    vacuum front room
    wipe worksurfaces and units, sink
    clean bathroom.. maybe..
Actually, it is the toilet floor that needs cleaning.. I am ju8st finding anything to do so I don't have to do that!

    This month..

[STRIKE]Reshuffle my bedroom once smallfry has been banished.[/STRIKE]
Nag the children to get their rooms tidied at least a little.. they are like war zones.
Make the 2 oldest sort out their clothing, what fits and what doesn't!think!! about losing some christmas lard.
    2 bills still to pay
new toilet installed in the bathroom... if it doesn't get done, I at least need to save for it.. so be prepared to see this for the next 3 months!

    Mondays Mission is:

[STRIKE]Do dailies including at least one load of washing[/STRIKE]

Living room - Hoover, dust, remove sofa cushions and (after checking for change) hoover those sofas. Tidy away anything that shouldn't be there. Check for cobwebs, hoover hallway (I'd need to find it first.. but I shall make a little effort!) and take up anything on stairs that needs to go up into bedrooms... can't remove cushions as they are attached but I'm vaccuuming in there later anyway so will be done.. I refuse to dust.. I prefer to wait until there is enough to vacuum lol.. I need to water Howie (the plant) though, he is looking a little droopy

Tackle one hotspot and file away any post that needs to be kept and has been dealt with.

[STRIKE]Make any important phone calls[/STRIKE]... I have 2 to make.. but DD needs placing in her nest first because she is screaming for no apparent reason!.. consider her placed! and she has JUST shut up so she spent almost 2 hours screaming in total.. I love children!COLOR]

See if there is any part of the evening meal that you can prepare in advance... what are we having?

I was drying her hair last night I noticed something moving..... nearly 2 hours later I was still trying to rub derbac (which I didn't have enough of ) into her hair to kill the little b*stard lice and nits. I'm sure she was clear when she went to school on Thursday Got 10 out so far. This morning I was the hair and start drying it again thinking "got them all " when I notice something still moving... they're still alive!!!!!

Yep.. nitty gritty.. I got mine off ebay though it was £3 cheaper than the pharmacy!!! including P&P Plus it was a buy it now so I got nectar points as well!

I spent 3 hours yesterday going through the childrens hair.. the boys were walking.. and are now practically bald.. if they won't be combed off I'll freeze the blighters to death lol. I was quite shocked as we actually seem to be somewhat in control of them at the moment. *itch scratch* I did myself too! lol

It might be this - the Nitty Gritty comb, as a few others have already suggested:

    http://www.nittygritty.co.uk/ng/index.jsp

Apparantly, you can get it free on prescription but haven't tried it myself.

Anyway, back on topic.... :o My house is so messy, I haven't even got the time or motivation to draw up a list of jobs. :o

Pigpen...thats the bit I'm not looking forward to...might have to get OH to do mine for me. :o

Well, I've been to Asda and Aldi spent £25 :o but got some "specials" from Aldi (like a staplegun so I don't have to keep borrowing my mums :p ) and some new copping boards so not too bad.

OH has just had me searching for a celebrity chef whose name he couldn't remember for 30 minutes!:rolleyes: I found it though :D Nancy Lam :rotfl:

    • Livingroom
      • Hoover
      • Dust
      • Clean Suite
      • Tidy
    • Hallway / landing/ stairs
      • Hoover
      • Dust
    • Hot spot - crockery/baking cupboard - moving crockery to another cupboard, putting small appliances in current crockery cupboard which will involve me getting something out of the baking cupboard :rotfl:
    • Filing - 30min x 2
    • Evening Meal - not decided yet, but it will be followed by apple crumble
    • Salt pots to be put back in rooms
    • Ironing - 30 mins

Right, off to make a start by putting dishes away that OH washed last night, then get on with some more washing up, and put some laundry in....does it ever end?:rotfl:

The nitty gritty comb is great. I use it on DD and we manage to keep pretty clear most of the time.

I'm just sat here waiting for the painkillers to kick in so I can tackle bending down to the washing machine. The living room looks lovely and tidy. I stuck DH's remote control car right in the middle of the stairs so when he went to bed this morning he had to move it or fall down the stairs :D The hallway is all tidied up after the weekend too. Will head back to the list and remind myself of what else has to be done.

Telephone call - must ring council re vacancies on local allotments.
