    Hey MP
Move the alarm clock further away from the bed so its out of arms reach. The other side of the room REALLY worked for me - especially since it was that really really annoying droning buzzing sound. Even if I wanted to go back to sleep, I had to get up out of bed to turn it off (or smash it with a hammer).

Thanks, I am sooo rubbish at getting out of bed! The silly thing is, every night I really do believe that I'll be getting up early. Every night for *ahem* many years I have believed this! I do, occassionaly. Have a 5.40 am train tomorrow morning so will have to get up!!

    Morning all. :hello:

Wont be opening my bedroom window to let fresh air in as boiler is still broken and I`m freezing!

I have started my bedroom,I`ve made me bed,and gone through one of my junk draws,Surprising what you find lurking in these draws.Spent about half an hour looking through old photo`s.Have binned more than 27 items already and that was just out of one bedside cabbinet draw.

Can`t wait to get under my bed as there is a whole set of kitchen door/draw fronts under it.Been there for about 5 years! Bought them when we decided to do the kitchen, but I had them that long(waiting for the ex to put them on) that I didn`t like them anymore and got a new fitted kitchen. These sadly will end up in the tip,I have put them on freecycle but nobody wanted them.I`m never gunna use them so best of getting rid of them.

Think I`m gunna need a dust mask for when I do that job!

I`m in the middle of stripping the wallpaper off my bedroom and have been for the last 6 months! :wall: So I`m gunna miss washing the skirting boards as next week sometime I`m gunna strip the rest of the wallpaper off and I aint washing skirting boards down twice! :o

Hope everyone enjoys doing their bedroom today and can walk through the door with pride.

July time - grandaughter aged 9, decided to nick her mums hai spray as she was going to a party. A few hours later, she was having a shower, and shouted her mum to say that her hair was falling out.
    You've guessed the rest.
She was lucky, and only had 2" bald circle on the top of her head, but didn't have any permanent damage. She knows now to read labels.
  • Morning everyone,

So far today I've spent an hour in the kitchen putting dishes away and juggling the contents of 4 drawers trying to make things fit better. No doubt OH will complain that he can't find anything again :rotfl: I managed to free up 3 "disposable" tupplewear tubs (the ones where you can buy 10 for £1 - I use them mainly for DD's lunch as she throws her lunchbag around like a football!) and sort out 3 little baskets in a drawer for all my cloths and little cleaning bits (like the little nozzles and brush for the hoover, the paintbrush for cleaning the soot off the coals of the fire etc etc) which I no longer keep under the sink as they kept disappearing  Much easier now to see that all the microfibre cloths are in the wash :o

Also managed to swipe the bathroom...yesterday you could see yourself in the bath, now its just got a slight sheen to it. I hate OH having a bath EVERY day as it means I have to clean the bath every day

Plan of action for the next 30 mins or so:
    • Make beds
    • Tidy DD bedroom...including "finding" her dressinggown which apparently has gone missing.
    • Demould the hall / stairs
That will be enough. Then another warm drink and think about the next stage. Got terrible cramps today so I'm doing things in stages to give myself a rest :o
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Today is the day for doing your bedrooms.

Once you've done your dailies then head up to your bedroom. Strip bed and load washing machine. Remove all dirty laundry from bedroom. Put away any clean clothes. Hoover floor, close all drawers!! Open window and let some fresh air in. Sort through one drawer or section of your wardrobe and if you haven't worn it in 12 months then bag it and put aside for the charity shop.

Get to the computer desk and tidy it.

    27 fling boogie

    Tackle a hotspot.

what dailies do people do please
  • Hi gang,

Wow how impressive are you lot? You all have done soooo much. I seem to have forgotten to fly for the last two days. Simply because i have been out and about. Somehow i have managed to keep on top of the washing ironing daily stuff.!! I really dont know how people with young children go out to work, and keep house etc.

Luckily i did a deep clean of our bedroom last week and washed the bedclothes 2 days ago so today i can focus on yesterdays bathroom tasks. I must admit i find the swish and swipe really keeps the bathroom under control but i really need to go through a cupboard of spare toiletries that hasnt been opened in months! It mostly contains items recieved as gift packs that i never seem to use.

On top of the daily stuff i would also like to clear some stuff out of my filing cabinet. (Thankfully its only one drawer) I kept some paperwork "just in case" after moving from UK to Ireland, and think its probably safe enough now to get rid. It is full to the brim and i cant NEED all that stuff can i?

I would also like to spend some fun time with the kids today, as i am forever "just wait a minute i am busy doing x,y,z,....". I nearly cried last night when i heard my daughter say the same to her dollies....I even feel bad that i have to make a conscious effort to do this, :o anyhow....sooner i get off here and all that;)

PS Kazonline: Oh how i love Pukka pads. I craved one for months last year and decided to treat myself a week or two ago. last year we moved and i used a hardback a4 book as my bible. Usually i had bits of paper everywhere, and instead i wrote everything into "the book". This book lasted me the year so for this year i thought i would use the pukka pad a5 size, and i love it. I just love stationary and could easily keep buying it.....
