For todays challenge is it just the main bedroom or all bedrooms?? Do you do other bedrooms on a different day, I would hate to get ahead of myself!!!

Woke up this morning to an almost clean kitchen :j I was up until 10.45 last night baking and then clearing up afterwards :o I now have 4 dozen (minus a few) fairy muffins (cheaper to buy the fairycake cases and they fit in DD's lunchbox better ;) ) and 4 spicedprune & banana loaf cakes  So all that was "out of place" this morning was the baking trays/loaf tins and the cakes which have cooled overnight, plus the mess OH made this morning. I've cut down on the washing up though, I now use OH's cup and plate (he eats before I get up!) as we have the same breakfast ;) One less plate and cup for me to wash this morning.

    My list for today is
    • Clean through house (not been touched since 23rd December :o )
    • 2 loads laundry (1 being OH's dressing gown...again!)
    • Write shopping list
    • Re-arrange filingcabinet etc to make a bit more space in the livingroom :o
Off to give DD a kick up the bottom to make her move herself ;):D
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Just the main bedroom today, once we have got really straight we can start tackling a couple of rooms at a time.

    Morning all

I've started reading this inspirational thread, but keep failing at the first hurdle....waking up when the alarm goes off! I'm terrible for hitting snooze. Also I've had two nights in and I've spent too much time on here!

So, to get myself motivated I'm going to write a to do list on here. Yep, you'll see that it's not v. fly lady stylee, but I'm currently living with my mum and she won't even let me wash up, let alone shine a sink!

    Tasks:

    Phonecalls
    Re-book tomorrow's train ticket
Pay rent - doh due on 1st!
    Email accountant
Pack for travelling back up country
    Put washing on (2 loads)
Shower, dress (yes I need to write that down when working from home!)
    Go through paperpile for urgent
Get car wiper put back on
    Return library books
    Buy new ink cartridge
Fit in 6 hours of work

Wish me luck. Oh, any top tips about getting up early when you work from home? Spot the single, childless flyer!! :o

    Hey MP
Move the alarm clock further away from the bed so its out of arms reach. The other side of the room REALLY worked for me - especially since it was that really really annoying droning buzzing sound. Even if I wanted to go back to sleep, I had to get up out of bed to turn it off (or smash it with a hammer).

Youve got a good list of things there to start with. Im only on day 4 of joining this thread, and Ive already achieved more in those 4 days than I did in the last 4 months!! My husband is very very pleased with me. Am looking forward to a rewarding weekend (if you know what I mean ;) )

    Morning
Just picked up Fridays challenge and will go for it at some point. At my Mums just now and then docs so this afternoon I'll head up those stairs. What do you guys do about teenagers rooms (18 & 16) Sometimes I think I'll just do it and then egt fed up with the stuff lying around! They are actually not too bad, always make their beds, put washing through to basket but I reckon they've got too muchstuff in the first place especially DD at 16 who has an eye for a bargain and is clothes daft!!

Interested to know what others think, thanks

Need to go,will check back later!

    Happy flying everyone!
