busy day been out for most of it but thanks to this thread saw what was to be done to day and went straight upstairs and completly cleaned and decluttered bathroom as it badley needs decorating it tends to get very neglected without moggins list i would never have done it so a big thankyou.

Good evening all, well today I haven't done much apart from the usual hotspots, paperwork (so much easier with filing cabinet) making beds, 1 wash load, washing up, breakfast and tea etc as it's my oldest DSs 8th birthday and we were out 9-1.30pm
but did manage to fit in giving the sitting room a good quick going over, dusted etc and the kitchen/sitting room/dogs room floors were done as family visited (first time I could let them in sitting room without being embarrassed in a very long time) :j
Tonight I will catch up, going to do the bathroom which will be a task and a half as it's been neglected apart from swishes, swipes and loo cleans over the festive season. Going to do it when I put the boys to bed and get a shower while I am in thereI even have a new shower curtain I got off a friend to go in there so will look nice. Bath matts need a wash too so will put them in tonight and hang out before bed. Going to go and get my cleaning solutions, cloths, brush/pan and mop ready now, oh and a bin bag
so I can take them up when I go. Might even make a face pack up to put on while I am working, haven't done that for ages.
Then after shower must get the stuff out of freezer for tomorrows dinners, pack some eBay items that need posting and vacuum and mop the floors again before bed. Oh and put some shopping away better, delivery arrived earlier than booked when family were here so all got thrown in as quick as possible. Might get chance to sort through the bank statements I have put in the cabinet and get them into date order aswell. Pleased DP is at work so won't moan about me doing housework all evening. One day I might be more organised...........

Catchy title I hope!
I would like to buy a slow cooker tomorrow. We used to have one years ago when it was just DH and me. Now we have two children in the house (9 & 7 years) - with healthy appetites. I want to buy one tomorrow as I will be paid then! I have Argos, Robert Dyas, Wilkinsons and Woolworths to choose from, plus an independant hardware store - which is usually more expensive!
What 'features' do I need and whats a gimmick? What size should I be going for? Are there any 'makes' to avoid? Any good deals out there at the moment?
Any help gratefully received.
In terms of 'Fly Lady' - I'm still in the Living room, phone is now cleaned, furniture polished, windows washed. The decs are now down and tree is coming down tomorrow. Will then vacuum under the furniture before leaving this zone - next week I'm in the kitchen area.
NB - I also don't put bleach down my sink every day...

Evening Flybabes!
Did not sleep well last night - woke at 3am and couldn't get back to sleep so read until 6 then fell asleep but had to get up as DS back to preschool today
So tired I didn't know where to begin so I dropped off FIL gift and dry cleaning, picked up swimming paperwork for DS and got my car cleaned. Then I did yesterday's challenge and achieved all the bits in the kitchen. Feeling really great (even though I'm a day behind the rest of you!) that the kitchen looks so good and I'm starting to feel in control again - thanks Moggins - guess I'll do the bathroom tomorrow

Wow! Lucky you Lilaclillie! My first grandchild arrived in November and I felt thrilled to see her at 2 hours old - but to have been there:great!
Tried for ages to logon last night, but only had failure to report so just as well! First day back always knocks me out! Anyhow, the sink is still shiny, the ironing up to date and the cooker top sparkly - real babysteps, that's me!Resolution:

This is the first time I've read this thread. I now feel inspired to do something about the state of my house. I am now going to get off my lazy behind and try my best to make a start so i can stop feelin embarrassed when we have visitors and all they see is mess and clutter. This is going to be fun!0

Welcome!
You'll never forget the feeling of smugness when someone 'just drops by' and you can open the door to them without your heart stopping...
