LOL! Never a truer word spokenshell2001 wrote:But thanks to flylady I know at the end of the day 10 mins or so putting their toys away and I have my lounge back with not a toy in sight (I love this!!!).
I do have this in my little boy's room and my master bedroom now
I think I've gone a bit too far today and I just didn't realise what I was about to do, which is a bit stupid after the other rooms!
The boxes have moved to the dining room so at least you can get in the front door now! Might be eating dinner off laps though tonight...
Thanks so much for the support, I do feel happier; it will get done, maybe not today but I am doing it and it will be worth it!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Come on Doozergirl you can do it. Concentrate on getting your little one first though, involve him when you get home if you can. Remember next time never take out more than you can put back in 15 minutes when you are sorting things out.
BABYSTEPS!!! Trying to run before you can walk will only leave you feeling like this again and you will just give up. Don't take on one huge task, break it down into little bits. 45 mins here or there. When you get home just shove 2/3's of the stuff into one big pile and work on what you have left. Then sort tea out. If you have the inclination after tea you can do another 45 minutes. It's not going anywhere, it took time to get it like that and it will take time to sort it out.
Deep breaths, no tears and clear your mind so you can think about the way forward.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Doozergirl, just try to think of it as a work in progress and keep focused on the end result, I go like a bull at a gate sometimes and then I'm left wondering what the hell did I do that for, doh!

I've only done half of what is on my list cause I was fed up and tired but I'm having a rest with a cuppa at the mo till I pick my daughter up from school and daresay I'll pick up where I left off later, but I'm not bothered if it doesn't all get done, my house has come on leaps and bounds and that's only since yesterday so I'm happy0 -

Not dome much today as I seem to have been in and out doing other stuff, just got back from DS swimming lesson and out to get DD soon, still got ebay parcels to post and DD will tell me off for not doing the hotspots we agreed on ie the upper half of the stairs and landing. But I keep looking on here and take strength from the fact that I am not the only one trying to fight my way out of the clutter.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

Pigpen, stop making me laugh, two babies in rapid succession make for a weak bladder......
Doozer - cheer up, you have got loads done, it is a start and it will get better. It took me three months to clear a terrace with two little 'helpers' and at times I was ready to give up. I got there in the end with support from people on here. Next time you clean that area it will take half the time, and if you stick to it it will become manageable. Remember the mantras - babysteps for everything, it didnt take a day to get into that state, it will take more than a day to get out of it, never get out more than you can deal with in your 15 minute slot.
