I managed the dailies today before we left for the nursery run (DD1 still off but on the mend), when we returned straight to her bedroom which is now clear of clutter, I am just waiting on the WM to finish and then I am going to hoover the room and that will be another room done. I will tackle the utility room later as it is badly needing attention and then I must tackle the utility / kitchen floor it hasn't been cleaned this week and at this time of year the dog brings in soooo much mud that with the rest of the house starting to resemble some sort of order i must get the floor done tonight.
WM just finished so off to hang up bedding and then hoover.

I am so glad it isn't just us that have a piddler (Miss p*ss.. you now know which one she is! lol) I tried everything too, we don't seem to be able to find a reason for her peeing, I need to take her back to the GP actually after our last round of blood tests, he said if they came back clear he would just refer her to a specialist see if they could find a reason. She was born with an extra hymen and has no labia minor (would you believe they wanted to operate to make her some, I said no) So they fon't know if her internal bits are correct either.. that is a case of wait and see but because of the wetting they are thinking something isn't as it should be, so the chances of her having children is uncertain at the moment until we find out more when she is older. It may be her uterus and bladder are both affected, but, time will tell and I'm not worrying about it until we have to!

WM both finished so now I am off to strip the other 2 beds.. it is none stop in here.. what happened to this more spare time it was meant to create?? I seem to be constantly flying!!

Doesn't look like I've done much off my list, but I have also disassembled 2 diningroom chairs & table, restapled covers on the 4 diningchairs I inherited via Johanne and set them up with the table from the kitchen so they can be used instead of stored under the stairs. :j The table & chairs that are going can be taken to the tip as no-one in their right mind would want them as they're wrecked. :o Could I just point out that they were in our old house when we moved in and in terrible condition then, 7 years ago but we haven't had the money to replace them :p

Also spent 30 minutes on the phone to my mum which was basically time I couldn't do too much as most of the jobs either involved the hoover, 2 hands or going in the kitchen where the floor was wet  I've had my lunch now so I'm just going to move the collapsed table & 2 chairs and then get on with the hoovering. Started at the kitchen today so it was first instead of last on my list as usually I run out of time before I get there :o

Right....need to get a move on

    What happened to the day?

Iwas quite happily sorting out stuff, put a box full of stuff for Freecycle, a huge bag of clothes for the charity shop.

I turn around, it's ten to two and the whole house looks like a bomb has dropped. I've got 40 minutes before I have to get my little boy from school and I haven't a cat in hell's chance of getting this sorted. The beautiful table I wanted to put under the stairs looks totally rubbish there and the rest of the house looks rubbish as a result of getting too far into something and not taking baby steps :wall:

I just phoned my husband in tears. I feel like such an idiot!

As was said already, deep breath.
you didn't take baby steps to begin with, but you can start now!
Don't try to sort this all out in one go, or in one day. Take it a little bit at a time.

And chin up hon, we've all been there. And I for one will probably get there again at some point in time.

Doozergirl Look on the bright side.. you have MADE A START!!! If it has to wait until tomorrow to be finished, it will still be finished!

I just found my hallway, but in the process I seem to have lost my backroom and half the kitchen.. but I too have a bag for charity shop and one for ebay and one for the bin! It never ceases to amaze me that by moving one pile you make 10 times as much mess, but once it is cleared it looks 100 times better!! I have to go in 45 minutes to collect my brood as well.. and before then I have to find this back room, it looks impossible, but whatever is left, I'll do tomorrow, it isn't going anywhere! I ALWAYS make loads of mess when tidying, it drives my husband crazy!!

Focus on how wonderful it will look when it is done and you will get there.. you didn't make the mess in a day, be gentle on yourself. Go have a cuppa and 10 minutes to calm down and tackle it anew. Your little man can help when he gets in!.. Mine are in charge of the rubbish bag.. I throw them bits and they bin them.. they love helping.

You know.. I'm sure these boxes of junk that are in here were originally in here and were moved out.. they look awfully familiar!

Get some funky music on and dive in!

    (((hugs)))

Don't lose faith or I may fall off this wagon too and I really cannot afford to!

That is the mess I made in ONE room tidying the hallway!! I am a pig by nature and now have all that to clear up! I hope that makes you feel better!

Doozergirl, I know its hard but like everyone has said you are doing brilliant. You looked around didn't like what you saw and decided to do something about it. Now once you have sorted through everything and got rid of it think how much easier life will be. Focus on the end result not where you are right now because its a means to an end.

Trying to keep the house tidy when you have kids is a complete nightmare - I have a magnet on my fridge that reads,

Cleaning the house when the kids are still growing is like shovelling snow when its still snowing.

But thanks to flylady I know at the end of the day 10 mins or so putting their toys away and I have my lounge back with not a toy in sight (I love this!!!).

Its Friday night, get a bottle of wine, watch a DVD and take a bit of me time - thats my plan.

Doozergirl, like everything else, it'll get worse before it gets better. Focus on what you have done, not what you haven't. Now you've sorted all that clutter it'll be easier to get organised. Enjoy your cuppa, I think I'll have one too.
One day I might be more organised...........
