Trying to keep the house tidy when you have kids is a complete nightmare - I have a magnet on my fridge that reads,

Cleaning the house when the kids are still growing is like shovelling snow when its still snowing.

But thanks to flylady I know at the end of the day 10 mins or so putting their toys away and I have my lounge back with not a toy in sight (I love this!!!).

Its Friday night, get a bottle of wine, watch a DVD and take a bit of me time - thats my plan.

    LOL! Got that right!
My sister bought me a brilliant fridge manget. it says:
This house isn't under construction. Kids just live here!

Keep your eye on the end result is great advice!

    I am amazed at myself!

3 loads of washing done and folded.
kids did their beds and did a 10 item fling. They don't realize it yet, but they'll see the result in the a few days! It took them all of 3 minutes this time, and I praised them and told them they are done!
I just need their help with putting all the folded clothes away in a bit, but I'm letting them relax for now.

Tonight is Pizza night. (choice of the birthday girl)
and i'm looking forward to a nice friday night with a good glass of whisky and a wonderful sence of accomplishment!

My mother bought me one it says.

If you think my home's a mess
    Come in, sit down, converse,
it doesn't always look like this,
    some days it's even worse!

And hers is worse than mine!

She also bought me another one..

Children are like farts, you can just about stand your own!

HEX2.. get those pelvic floor exercises done whilst scrubbing and cleaning. I've had 8 children and I don't pee when I giggle! :p

Took a detour on the way home from school and dropped of the charity shop bag. :)

First of the freecycle things should be getting picked up any second now. The other stuff I've posted is taking ages to filter through to my email - I just want rid of it!

My belated Christmas present has also just arrived via courier :)

Quick hoover round the living room before I went so that looks okay, I noticed half the remains of the Xmas tree are under the sofa still though that can wait until living room day!

I can't see the boxes anymore, the dining room door is SHUT until later! Need to get tea done.

I have developed a bee in my bonnet.. I just went upstairs to the loo and noticed that where I removed the box of freecyle sludge from yesterday the skirtings are fluffy.. I now have an urge to dash up there with a cloth and a bucket of stardrops and clean them!!

Will someone please hit me round the head several times with a wet mop?

My back room is buried under 2ft of Lord knows what and I fuss about a bit of fluff!

Consider yourself clobbered! I know exactly what you mean though, I was struck by the urge to hoover my bedroom when i saw a couple of bits of dirt on the floor - I only did it last night!

And you know where exactly where I am mentally right now :o

I too am becoming obsessive. DH put knife down on side last night and before I knew it I had washed it and was drying it when he said "I was using that".

Moggins see what you had created - I have turned into a cleaning monster, will be vacumming the crumbs up while we are sat at the dinner table (its egg fried rice tonight too!) lol

Apparently they have 'ill' people who need to see the GP and it isn't 'fair' that I have 4 appointment all for members of my family!! . answer.. 'yeah whatever.. what time are we coming then?'
