So is it hall and dining room today? Bear with me I'm a new baby
Yep, it's hall, landing and dining room today. Although my dining room needs so much work that it may take me all day as it's a large room and currenly holds the christmas tree and 2nd computer desk and part of DH's massive collection of CD's and that all had to be moved around to fit in the tree this year.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Sounds like you need to delegate a little with that job moggins, good luck with it, sounds like a pretty big job. Not done a huge amount today so far, but have made a start, and I did get up earlier which is one of my new things
decided set alarm for a little earlier each day will help. I'm sick of not being able to get to sleep until 3am
Hazzie to get my son to help with the car I use the any cash you find you can keep bribe, and sprinkle some coppers in sight which spurs him on to find more, works a treatUntil he finds a £2 coin I didn't know I had dropped and pockets it! Next time will check under my seat first.
Punky moggins is right, frequent rests is a must, don't try and go OTT!One day I might be more organised...........

Hi everybody - I discovered flylady last year & half heartidly tried a few bits and then it flew out the window, only just discovered there is a thread on here (busy couponing, r & r and all the other moneysaving stuff).
Anyway posting for help really and words of advice, my house is not too bad but i do get distracted easily & spend far too much time on here, i dont really have a routine just do stuff when it needs doing but would love to have an organised life like the rest of you.
My big problem area is my daughters clothes, she's nearly 3 and i have way too much - i get given stuff by 3 different friends, plus in moneysaving style i get stuff from car boots. Result - a great big mess and she doesnt wear half of it oh and also sometimes (not often) i like to get down Next and actually buy stuff that i like her in - anyway too too long, short version I find it hard to give stuff away and everytime i go through it I think "oh that'll do and it goes back in the wardrobe.
I have made a start this morning but it all gets too daunting so i thought i'd post on here instead (ha ha)
Anyone else on here have similar problems? any words of advice? Oh and can i join the challenge please? The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow, For children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.0 -
Yes, I know exactly what you mean but as an incentive why don't you go through it, sort out a pile and e-bay it? I've seen bundles of clothes go for silly prices on there. Any money you make could go into a treat fund for you and your daughter so you could take a special day out together in the summer.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

and more to add :j
- decoration is down and in box (incl. tree) - oh will have to put it in the loft later once dd is awake
- played a game with ds
- folded a load of washing (waiting for dd to wake so i can put it away)
next to do:
- finish my breakfast (we are on a diet again) and i was about to skip it when i remembered i will be eating much more later if i do that
- dust all tops
- meal planner
see you all laterI have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work0 -
I'm now dressed to my shoes and my hair is freshly washed so that's a start. Just off to make a cup of fennel tea to try and ease my tummy and then I will make a start.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

I've got two loads of washing on the line (blowing round beautifully). I've been doing my budget, checking I have the right amounts down for each month and writing it out neatly. Didn't find any spare thousands I'd forgotten about though...
Otherwise just pootling about doing bits, had the big clean up yesterday. Will be cooking lunch soon, husband doesn't know what time he's on lunches this week yet so I've got to do it early in case.0 -
I made a start yesterday. Did 30mins of tearing up old paper work, didn't even read most of it because some of it has been hanging around for months, so it can't be important!
Took down decs and tree. Made gift tags out of old cards.
Put on my shoes ??? Still wary of this one, do you think it works?
Didn't hoover the front room, its covered this morning in glitter and off cuts of Xmas cards and didn't put decs away. Will do that today.
Have stripped the loose covers from the large sofa, due to someone spilling Port on it ............hope it comes out in the wash as the cover is cream. I did spray with vanish first, so fingers crossed.
Off to Tesco for basics in a couple of hours.
Cooking soup for dinner tonight, brocolli and stilton, will put BM soon.
So decs away later and hoover up. I have a hall, but there is nothing at all in it. Well only a glass cabinet and the clothes horse folded. So I'll catch up on yesterdays bits today.
Hope I don't fall behind every day. Its only my first try and already I'm behind!!!
Someone tell me it gets easier please............................
LLWe are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars........................0 -
