Well done, everyone, you are all doing so well!
I'm not having such a good day - woke up after a very restless night feeling extremely sluggish and lethargic so have only managed to put BM on, couple of loads of washing and quick vacuum round downstairs. OH is about to drag me out for a walk - I'm not that keen as it looks very blowy out there and is threatening rain but maybe I'll feel better after, so here goes. Back on track tomorrow, I hope!
Keep up the good work, all! (moggins - HELP!:o )[0 -
That's it, the washing basket is empty!
One load gone into the tumble dryer, some gone onto the airer, I'm still stuck on where to put these boxes of goodies left over from christmas as the cupboards are still full too. The freezer is emptying gradually but the cupboards are not. I may revise tonights meals to try and empty the cupboards a little. The dining room is tidy now apart from these boxes which are preventing me getting to the tree tooOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

I discovered Flylady in 2003, and have been flapping and not flapping for a while now.
I did make myself a control journal - but found it didn't work well for me. I can be the procrastination queen - and I kept having to 'redo' bits and therefore 'couldn't start' until it was 'done'.
Last autumn I made a chart to go on my fridge with the weekly and monthly jobs on it - it gets highlighted everytime a task is done and its easy to see what needs to be done and what has already been achieved. I haven't kept to it much over December as I was away - however my chart for January is up. :T
I don't have a hallway or dining room either - so just the cupboards for me today then! Or not...
Actually - I'm in my Zone 1 which is the living room areas, and switch plates are cleaned, I've cleaned out the fireplace and relaid for fire tonight. I've dusted the living room skirting boards - can't vacuum under furniture as DH is sleeping as is on nights. Plants are in the shower drying off, having been fertilised also. Tea is done - HM leek & potato soup from yesterday. Don't have a BM, so January's task is to 'learn to bake bread' - but am getting a SC on Friday. Still have a bit of Mondays home blessing to do - cleaning mirrors! However ironing - of which there is a big scary pile is taking priority. Daugher (8) is washing up after lunch (my DW broke the wednesday before Christmas, quote of £160 to repair it!!!! So currently doing without till I decide whether to have it fixed - or buy a new one - much as I hate 'throwaway society'), Son is drawing pictures for the Thank you cards."A simple life freely chosen is a source of strength. Do not be pursuaded into buying what you do not need or cannot afford." Quaker Faith & Practice 1.02.410 -
I've cooked and cleared up lunch now and then vacuumed downstairs. Didn't need it before but the cats just had a "funny five minutes" and there was quantities of white fur everywhere!0

Bennifred you sound EXACTLY how I feelbut I've done Sweet FA apart from being glued to MSE
so you're doing a darn sight better than me :T
Anyway better get on with something other than procrastination!!!
Can't do Moggins flylady plan yet because my [STRIKE]dumping areas[/STRIKE] hotspots are any surface including floor in every room!! So got to clear that in living-room / hall / kitchen before any floors can be cleaned or surfaces reached easily!!So I'm off to get on with it and nudge OH to give me a hand... hopefully!
You should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an"anorak" about something whether it's trains, computers, football, shoes or celebs:rotfl:
