hypno, start on the ground floor working front to back. start by putting everything away so there are no mess and muddles to work though. Hoover the whole ground floor in one go, then go back and dust. Living room, dining room, hallway etc. When you get to the kitchen move everything off the worktops and give them a good swipe over. Wipe everything down as you replace it on the worktops.
When you get to the bathroom squirt the bath with some cleaner and leave it while you tackle the mirrors, sink, toilet. Then clean the bath.
Upstairs, make your bed and remove any clothes that need washing and put away any that are clean. Hoover round your bedroom and upstairs landing.
Beat the kids into submission when they get home and tell them no more pocket money until they have their rooms tidy.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
F U Fund currently at £2500 -
moggins, why are you hoovering before dusting? aren't you sweeping the dust onto the clean carpet?0

spendless and mumoftwo
My mother used to remove any items left lying around (teaspoons a favourite, always left on the worktop after making a cup of coffee) and hide them away. Eventually, someone would comment that there were no spoons in the drawer, and she would smile sweetly and innocently and say 'Really?? Where did you leave them then?'It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

coffeeandfags try Wilkinsons and Ikea, thats where most of my storage came from, if you've got second hand shops near by maybe there too, have had some great baskets and boxes from my local one.
Serena, really impressed with the rooms, your daughters room is very nice I love those curtains! Such a difference in your DS's room, hope he keeps it like that
Right tomorrow, DS appointment AM, got the suit etc to press for DP in the morning ready for the funeral, so will be late start for me, will post list when I get chance as been adding to it all day when I have thought must do that tomorrow. Son smashed my duster by accident today so I'll be vacuuming the cobwebs up I think! I do the dust then vacuum too, always taght to work top to bottom when worked in hotels so still do it now.
Best get those night jobs done, have enough bread for tomorrow so don't need to put BM on, something recently added to nighttime list or I will forget! But I do have some dishes to get doneOne day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
I've had a fantastic day doing nothing - I even read a book for two hours this afternoon and i didn't have to feel guilty as the house isn't too bad. So thank you to everyone! I think one day off is the most I can hope for as things are starting to creep into the wrong places again! So, it's all systems go for tomorrow.
Night xxJanuary budget

coffee.. If I wrote a book every time someone's said I should I could have written the Bible 3 times over! lol.. It is on my list to do.. one day. It will be a bit like 'cheaper by the dozen' with a lot of the Simpsons thrown in.
My mother rang earlier, asked if I would go to pub with her.. do you know what I said 'no I am too tired I've been cleaning all weekend!!!!!' She said I need hospitalisation!!!!! Then asked if I would clean hers!!
Plan of action for today is
Dailies
Living room, [STRIKE]hoover[/STRIKE] (moving furniture not just around it), dust (er... no. My flat surfaces will be vacuumed once the dust is of a reasonable depth), clean lightswitches and skirting boards, wipe down tv screen, (don't have one! Whole thing.. not just the screen) clear hotspots, they are neat hotspots! I've kept them in good order There are [STRIKE]toys and the car seat[/STRIKE] has been dumped in there for over a week now so needs moving. There will be [STRIKE]stray pots and washing [/STRIKE]in there in the morning too...
Dining room (back room), [STRIKE]hoover[/STRIKE], dust, polish table, use nice table cloth, clean skirting boards. Clear hotspot. clean light switch. .. I went wild with a flash wipe and cleaned ALL the light switches today. I don't have a table in here the skirting boards are brown so won't be getting wiped.. see I do have a little sense.. all my skirtings are brown.. except for in the kitchen where they are black slate! I do need to do a big tidy and fling in here though so will do that.
Hallway, [STRIKE]hoover[/STRIKE], clear cobwebs, dust skirting boards and dust any pictures. again skirting is brown.. *grin* I have no pictures *smug grin* cobwebs are not allowed I have a huge bottle brush type thing I weild frequently because my 7 year old has a mortal fear of the 8 legged demons.. *super-smug grin*I'll need to find the floor then sweep it.. bare boards in here so no vacuuming to do. though I need to [STRIKE]vacuum the bottom 4 stairs[/STRIKE] I couldn't reach yesterday.
Nightime routines.. how could I frogget? I'd have to get up half an hour earlier!
My list..
[STRIKE]WM

Bedding off 2 girls and 1 boy beds... only these 3 left to change everyone else is clean. My 15 year old complained I made him change his bedding, said it wasn't dirty as he had *only* had it on 4 or 5 WEEKS! .. he is a pig!
Put clean duvet cover on dd1's bed.. and it appears ds1 hasn't put his back on either.. what a slob! Will do my duvet cover ad pillow cases tomorrow providing I've got on top of this wash heap.
shower and wash hair (has to be added sadly)
order new loo for bathroom... doing that tonight when DH gets home.. (through pigsback for £15 in points!)
Photograph ebay gibble.. found the camera in my bag where I had already looked 4 times!
MUST take shorty out.. she has spent half an hour sitting in her pushchair waiting.. no idea where she wants to go mind, but I need some [STRIKE]food for dinner, new pillows for ds1[/STRIKE], some batteries and have some [STRIKE]change to put in bank [/STRIKE]so we will set off about 1:45pm. Paid mortgage and bhs storecard when I got back gome.. one less thing to think about this month!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
