Been there and tried that and to be honest the waking in the night did stop (just the early mornings) but she has been poorly the last week so I am hoping she will go back to sleeping through. We did it beginning of Dec so this just feels like the same cycle starting again. I have warned her that if she comes into our room during the night (unless for a real reason) we will go and sit downstairs in the lounge (no lights, talking or anything). Would put her to bed but she would end up waking the 2 1/2 year old up.

Thanks for the advise though jjef. x

I wouldn't gloat too much Spendless ;) When DD was little I had to do all our carpets with a dustpan and brush on my hands and knees as she screamed the house down every time I turned the hoover on! (So there are ways and means of managing without a hoover ;) )

    Good evening everyone!

Anyone who has read my posts on the OS thread will know that I am well behind on flying and am slowly drowning in a sea of housework. I got rid of my cleaner at the beginning of the month and boy does it show!

As a result, I have taken the drastic measure of having no clients booked in tomorrow so that I can get on top of things.

On the basis that flying takes generally about an hour a day I reckon, I have 6 hours when the children are at school so I can get quite a lot done in that time.

Please can someone post me a list of 6 days worth of flying that will allow me to feel company acceptable by the end of the day? I know that I could come up with this myself, but then I will make excuses as to why I haven't done it! With you lot, I wouldn't dare wimp out!!!

One thing though - I do have a shiny sink

Thanks, in anticipation of your help.

Hi all, I am glad to have found this thread! I work full time in a very demanding job and our house is frankly a tip. I am due to start Maternity leave for our second child in three weeks time, with the child due 5 weeks after that. I have still to clear out our front bedroom, decorate it (nothing too fancy), move my daughter in there, then sort out nursery. Rather daunted by whole task! I have been subscribed to flylady for a while and like the idea of progress not perfection. I have decided on my daily routines, and am doing quite well with those, but I think I will add 30 mins per day (in the week) to sorting out front bedroom and clearing it. This seems more achievable than my grand plans which come to little! I am encouraged by all your posts.

My room, on the other hand, will remain under lock and key for quite a while yet! We've had a really lovely day, and haven't worked too hard. Roll on Monday!
