Pigpen you are a complete inspiration :D

It took me 3 days and 16 binbags to do my DS's room, it is 14 x 15 foot though :(

My lazy day has gone to pot, DD spent the day playing in her room and it is a complete pigsty now. I have to clean it up before Monday in case the planning inspector wants to see how the planned house will look straight into her window.
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

He is 15, catowen.. and a complete and utter PIG!!! He is on death threats (or threats of telling dh about the photo) to keep it tidy.

If it is tidy next weekend he can have a door!!

If it is tidy the weekend after the door can have a lock.. providing I have a key and it is not locked when he is in there.. safety reasons.

the weekend after that we are having a loo fitted in the bathroom next door to his room.

AND.. if it is tidy in 4 weeks.. he can have £20..

See.. I am not averse to blackmail or bribery lol

  • I did a little of the downstairs cupboard. My son was looking for his wellies so I had to take half the stuff out to get to them and found they're too small, he hasn't had them on in ages. So, thats a new pair we'll need. Think I'll ebay those ones as they're quite comfy, got fleecy lining.

well so much for my tidy kids bedrooms. They have built a 'den in DS using just about everything they could find  . DH has said he'll help them tidy it tomorrow.

So if I don't tidy the house all week, I have to spend all w/end doing it instead, and when I do they wreck it  . Wish it was nice weather so I could [strike]kick[/strike] send them out into garden to play.

Moggins, you asked for other areas/rooms. A lot of people (though not me) have a conservatory. I also wondered about 'laundry area' to keep everyone up to date on washing etc??

I have 3 more childrens bedrooms to do yet.. don't move on too quickly!.. my under stairs cupboard needs reshuffling. I 'need' everything in it as it is my fabric store.. but it is a bit untidy. Should only take half an hour or so.

Many people seem to have a playroom as well.. but I don't want to tidy ours so I won't mention it.

Who else has more than 1 reception room too? I have 3 but do the back room as 'dining room' and ignore the middle room/playroom as it is a bear pit!

My hallway is a hotspot too as everything seems to get dumped there as a 'halfway point' to where it should be.. and left. I have 3 tesco crates in my hallway full of gibble, been there for about a month!! I may add one to my under stair cupboard tidying session.

Bloomin heck pigpen I think you were lucky to come out alive! Well done. Always said I wanted a bigger house, but you have changed my mind! We used to have the largest bedroom as a play room but now DS2 (6) has that 21ftx 14ft DS1 (8) has the second largest 16ft x13ft and our room is the box room, put it this way there is 16 inches at the bottom of my bed, 14 inches on my side of the bed, just to say fits the bed in it. Probably the strangest arrangement ever but they need the space and we don't. I would only mess a big bedroom up as I have proved before.

Bread maker is now on, I think, trying to use the timer and think I have got it right. Only the second time I have switched it on as I made myself use up the overstock in freezer first of shop bought breads. Just about to add what I bought today to my freezer, fridge and cupboard lists. Bought a new book so I can do the home journal properly, and a price book. Got one for keeping a log of bank accounts as my last one has fell to bits. Going to get the floors done now as the dogs have made a right mess with muddy paws, and they lept onto the sofa before so got to wipe that down, so I have sent them to bed and goingg to get them done, last few bits of washing up, rubbish out etc, then I think that is it.
One day I might be more organised...........

Might be time to top up your boosters, he's a teenager after all!

:( think my bread might come out bad, forgot to out the little kneading thing in, just had to stick my arm in it ewwww! My arm was clean when it went in, but half the mix stuck to my arm on the way back out. All icky! Darn sinks blocked again, just put some more boiling water in, see if that clears it, can't understand it as I don't think I have put anything fatty down there, will have to give it a good clean through tomorrow. :( Just want to get the last washing up done (forgot about SC and breadmaking stuff needing doing so I can get that done and go to bed!
