Hi everyone - havent posted for a while, but have kept up with the thread. Have already had a hectic morning! Very Very windy here lastnight, and my Sky dish is now pointing towards the ground. Its been out there for over 6 years and Im now worried its gonna fall off!!  I live in a 1st floor flat and my the front door to the flat downstairs is underneath the dish!!!
I had already called Sky the other day to arrange an engineer for tomorrow as I wasnt getting any picture on some channels (now I know why). Made another call this morning asking for engineer to ring me urgently - hopefully he will be able to come round today to at least make sure its secure!!

Anyway, so for todays list I have:-
    [STRIKE]Washed and dressed to shoes[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]made IMPORTANT phonecall to SKY[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Tidy kitchen[/STRIKE]
    Wash kitchen floor
Tidy living room (polish and hoover)
[STRIKE]Put away dry clothes and bedding[/STRIKE]
Keep fingers crossed Sky engineer will be able to call today!!
UPDATE: Have now called Sky twice - no engineers available in my area. So have left message for male friend to (hopefully) go up a ladder and secure dish until tomorrows appointment. (still slipping). Waiting for him to call back.
[STRIKE]Phone for doctors appointment at end of day[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Post spectacle frames for new prescription lenses[/STRIKE]
    Clean birdcage
Will also be doing odd bits in the bedroom (ooo errr missus!!)

    Happy flying everyone

    LG;)

Today is the master bedroom (AGAIN??) and landing

    Dailies - plus

Strip those beds, wash bedding, turn mattress, dust, hoover, collect any clothes that belong in the wash, general tidy of bedroom... my room is still tidy from last time.. we only did it last week!! I don't make that much mess!! I'll have a sort of the boys beds instead, they are pretty nasty.. I cleaned the room last week but didn't do the beds.. DD1's bed needs changing too so I will do hers.

Declutter landing and hoover... It will be a case of little bits on here.. it is really bad.. maybe one box of carp at a time?? I have had boxes on there since we moved in 18 months ago.. unopened and I don't even know what is in them! There won't be any vacuuming going on on the landing today it will take me longer than that to find the floor!! I opened 2 boxes.. and unearthed a HUGE pile of VHS videos.. anyone want any lol?? There are LOADS of Disney ones. We don't even have a video player!!.. we don't even have a TV!!!!!!! SO, I have spent all morning listing them for sale on various parenting sites (pm if you want a gander) in between chasing the rabbits back into their cage as shortie keeps letting them out!! .. IMP!! That DONE I am going to tackle something in the kitchen.. and I MAY even do some food!

    Damp down any hotspots.

Night time routines. .. how could we possibly forget?

    DAILIES

    Vacuum front and back rooms
    swill over kitchen
[STRIKE]clean yesterdays cooker[/STRIKE] I HATE cleaning the hob.

Well.. it is a start on the landing I guess.. I should do pics just to prove how ghastly it really is!

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
Well there I was ready to set too on the bedroom today when OH tells me as he's leaving for work he's forgotten to reconcile his bank statement which arrived yesterday. Now we're having a finance meeting tomorrow (when you hear what I'm saying next you'll understand why!) so I told him I would do it. Thinking it would only take me 5 minutes....just discovered that he is electronically reconciling it which means that when he with draws cash from a machine the Payee comes up as "CASHBARMAR20" instead of cash  Which means that he hasn't entered stuff into catergories either which means his accounts for the past YEAR need to be sorted as the meeting tomorrow was supposed to be reviewing where we spent money last year and seeing where we've wasted it which I can't do if there are dozens and dozens of "unassigned" expenses  More annoyingly? He's been using ATMs which CHARGE £1.85 a time! Plus I've just noticed he's been overdrawn consistantly since March  Now I know why he got into so much debt while at University:wall:

So my ammended list for today :
    • Dailys - [strike]Beds bath[/strike] Dishes Kitchen (no washing as I did 3 loads yesterday) EM
    • Sort out OH's bank account
    • [STRIKE]Top-up-shop at Co-op for milk & spread[/STRIKE] - managed to get 3 Quiche Lorrains reduced to clear for £1 each instead of £1.99 :j
    • Kill OH when he gets home from work for wasting money
I'm off to slowly stew while trying to sort this mess out... now I remember why I was the one doing the finances! :wall::wall::wave:

  • Morning everyone!
Well, i haven t posted much but im keeping up!
Still in absolute awe of the shiny sink....makes the kitchen look clean regardless of what else is lying about!!

Thorough the master bedroom.....oh dear, this is the one ive been dreading!! I share the master bedroom with DD,11......long story, but elder DD has ADHD and it makes sharing impossible (im a single mum BTW, so no hubby to worry about!).
Ive been meaning to tackle this one for weeks, but just cant muster up the courage!!! However, beds were changed on Monday so thats one less task!

Off to get started and i will keep you updated on how many black bgs i fill!!
BTW, DD has grown outta Bratz now and we literally have boxes full of the stuff.....any ideas on what to do with it? Ideally id like to give it away to a little girl who perhaps doesnt have much....but cant find anyone LOL. Theres too much to sell on Ebay, i really dont have the time! Any ideas?

    Good morning everyone,

Already started today, cant do upstairs as i have a LO here, but have stripped DDs bed, and that is all washed and hung up on the bannister to dry - do one bed at a time so it can all dry, DSs will be tomorrow.
DW emptied and put away, kitchen and bathroom wiped down. Bins have been put out, and ive just had my breakfast. Still need to tackle a hot spot, think it might be the one with the old magazines that i can then recycle!!!!
Also been out to pick up all the stuff thats blown around the garden, in the last lot of wind i lost a fence panel, and it looks like another one is about to go  Hopefully my BiL will be down soon, hes going to put 2 new panels up for me, looks like its going to be needed sooner rather than later!!!!
Right, off to do this hot spot (such a hard one today!!!).
    Happy flying!!!

well I got so motivated by all of you so I started the challenge yesterday. So busy I forgot to post last night! I blitzed the kitchen and cleaned everything in sight! The worst job in the world is cleaning the oven; it took me ages but it was definetly worth the time! Jobs seem to take a bit longer with 2 toddlers running about trying to help with everything, but having everything in order will benefit us all. Take care everyone and have a good day xxx

    Morning all

It's me that needs a kick this morning, I'm feeling thoroughly demotivated as DH is tearing the house apart looking for some music. It doesn't help that I am subtly getting blamed for putting it somewhere he can't find it. Stuff the fact that last year I sorted out a large cupboard and fitted it out with box files for him to put work and music stuff into but he just hasn't bothered to use it prefering to let things stay where they land.
