    Good morning everyone,

I have only just discovered this website and this Forum!! I can't tell you how much I need this... Can I please join in with the daily lists from "Mogins"? I bought a slowcooker last week and was looking for recipes and I find all of you, expressing what my sister and I have been doing for ages: Old Style, cooking from scratch, It's so brilliant, I have spend the last few days reading and emailing my sister in Holland with tips etc... LOL

I do need lots of help though with housework, I am so disorganised and unmotivated, I love my home looking nice and clean, I go all out and do lots and then nothing for a few days and kids mess it all up, I get disheartened. But the flylady plan looks great..
My other motivation is that my husband is blind so if the place is messy and disorganised he can't find anything or trips over stuff.
Sorry for the long post but just want to tell you all a BIG THANK YOU, you have opened my eyes and given me a new look on cleaning..so.. bedroom and landing, here I come
    Esther

Just a quick question: Do I make up my own daillies and post them on here every day? Is that what you all do?
    Esther
  • Morning everyone,

Thanks for the freecycle tip! I cleared a hotspot yesterday - the pantry - took me 2.5 hours! So, I've listed a few things including the 2 chocolate fondue sets on there.

Feeling a little groggy today - between OH (who is poorly) and the 2 littlies keeping me awake I had about 3 hours sleep last night. So, I'm going to be kind to myself today and not do too much.

I've got the little ones up and dropped the 4yo at school, been to the corner shop for milk and marg, done the DW, one load of washing which is now on airer, 2nd load just finishing it's spin, SC on for dinner, BM on.
I'm yawning so much I think my jaw will dislocate shortly.

edit -Thanks for todays list, Moggins, I did the hall, stairs & landing pretty well on Monday so I'll squint at the screen and pretend I can't see the rest.

Welcome mumoftwo. Just dump in where you are and yes you sort of make up your own dailies, it's pretty much the things you have to do every day like washing up, laundry, making bed etc etc.

Nighttime routines are getting prepped for the day after. Getting all clothes together so you don't have to spend manic moments looking for clean socks, filling in any forms that have to go back to schools. Cleaning kitchen down (swish and swipe) and tidying living room before you go to bed. You won't believe how much easier your life will get if you do the night time routine.

HopeElizzy, I will let you off today as long as you get your bedding washed and there are no clothes lying around in your bedroom :D
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Getting there with the finances... Printed off reports off all spending :D I only need to print off

Just had to go out and rescue my mini-greenhouse. It's just nearly taken off fully laden with stuff  Brought it inside and discovered that one of the holder bits is snapped  I'm hoping it can still be used without that bit but after being out there I'm just praying that next doors tree doesn't come crashing through our roof

I think I might tackle the bedroom after another cup of coffee as it's just decluttering I need to do as I hoovered & dusted it on Monday and I change bedding on a Sunday :j Let me see, 1 small hanging rail, 1 set of chest-of-drawers(5 drawers) and I'm done as thats all we have in there ;) Okay, maybe I'll venture into my small jewellery box but I'm starting to think it's pointless me having it as I hardly have any anyway as I've sold all except the sentimental stuff on ebay :rotfl:Oh well...looks like I might be getting the "keepsake" box out of DD's room again :D:rotfl:

    Right...now where's my coffee?;)

Moggins - I have a large patio if you need somewhere to hide the evidence if he really gets too much ;)

    Kitchen tidied and wiped,
    L/r tidied.
    Spends totted up
3 drawers of drawers (;)) etc sorted
    Bed stripped & bedding washed
    B/R tidied (ish)

Does anyone else tend to get tired a lot quicker when it's cold?
It seems the washing isn't going to get itself into the T/D so I'd best crack on.
    Happy flying all,

Nicki.. those finances sound fun.. I think I'd have squished him by now.. mine spends money like there is no tomorrow and if it is there it is gone.. so.. he gets pocket money .. like a child.. if he cannot be trusted what does he expect? I have children to feed and bills to pay I cannot risk him making things extra difficult for us!

He gets enough to cover his lunch and that's about it.. but he doesn't go out or buy things or have any hobbies.. if he wants something he has to ask a month in advance so it can be budgetted for (not ask for permission but that it be added and we discuss if it is necessary or if it can wait)

I am selling loads of bits at the moment to get back the money I just bought his birthday present and the boys new PS2 with.. how mean is that?? lol. Well.. if we don't need them they would have been sold eventually anyway!

It is FREEZING and blowing a gale here too.. I am so not looking forward to struggling with the buggy to shcool at 3pm to collect the gremlins.. do you think they could sleep there just for tonight?

Hi everyone - havent posted for a while, but have kept up with the thread. Have already had a hectic morning! Very Very windy here lastnight, and my Sky dish is now pointing towards the ground. Its been out there for over 6 years and Im now worried its gonna fall off!!  I live in a 1st floor flat and my the front door to the flat downstairs is underneath the dish!!!
I had already called Sky the other day to arrange an engineer for tomorrow as I wasnt getting any picture on some channels (now I know why). Made another call this morning asking for engineer to ring me urgently - hopefully he will be able to come round today to at least make sure its secure!!

Anyway, so for todays list I have:-
    [STRIKE]Washed and dressed to shoes[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]made IMPORTANT phonecall to SKY[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Tidy kitchen[/STRIKE]
    Wash kitchen floor
Tidy living room (polish and hoover)
[STRIKE]Put away dry clothes and bedding[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Keep fingers crossed Sky engineer will be able to call today!!
UPDATE: Have now called Sky twice - no engineers available in my area. So have left message for male friend to (hopefully) go up a ladder and secure dish until tomorrows appointment. (still slipping). Waiting for him to call back.**[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Phone for doctors appointment at end of day[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Post spectacle frames for new prescription lenses[/STRIKE]
    Clean birdcage
Will also be doing odd bits in the bedroom (ooo errr missus!!)

    Happy flying everyone

    LG;)
    XXXX

[STRIKE]** Still waiting for callback from friend number 1. I have also tried two male friends to go up ladder for me (and Hubby) but all are working. Quite happy to come over after 5pm, but Im worried dish will fall off before then.

Friend number 1 coming over in 10 minutes - :T :T :T - bless him. (p.s I dont like ladders!) Can hopefully get on with housework now, instead of worrying about the dish. :D[/STRIKE]

All done - bracket and bolt TOTALLY rusted through. Have taken dish down for safety reasons. Engineer still on for tomorrow.;)

    NEW REVISED LIST:
    • Clean birdcage
    • Wash kitchen floor
    • Polish and hoover front room
working hard at this thing called life
