Well after 24 hours without electricity I aren't even going to tell you how dreadful my house is!!
both washing machines are on for the second time today.. both dryers ditto.. , the dishwasher is on for the second time with at least another load to get through!
The floor has disappeared in every room courtesy of Santa's generosity.. which is also about to be remedied!!
See you in about 4 days once I have resurfaced from the squalor!
HAPPY NEW YEAR FLYPEOPLES!
I didn't know you had all sneaked in here.. maybe someone ought to go lock the other thread and put a link to here on it.. because I for one only look if I am emailed there are new posts.. the boards are way too buy to check daily!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Whew! today we ( oh and I) have..
taken down tree, decorations and cards. Given front room a huge huge declutter and a massive vacuum. Washed up and sorted out kitchen, washed two loads, put un-ironable (is that a word?) stuff away ( well we have sat and looked at it for a fortnight) dusted and paid a bill. The 27 fling turned into about 927 and that was from stuff behind the sofa! We are worn out now.
I am really interested in the stardrops but haven't seen any in the shops. I will keep an eye out for them. Can anyone tell me what colour the bottle is? ThanksSmoke free since 16th December 20120 -
Tree is coming down on Thursday once the chillies are back at school and hubby is still home until Monday so he can help and we will only have smallfry (2) to 'help' piece of cake doing stuff with just 1 child about.
Cards never even got put up this christmas because I couldn't decided where to put them. Next christmas the tree is coming out a week earlier and going away sooner.. and I really wish the children had an extra week off school at christmas to enjoy their things.
Oh.. and to REALLY pee me off the boys PS2 packed up so I can't even banish them for an hour to play on that and their normal attention span is around 3 seconds of mess making before moving onto next pile of mess making!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Blimey, my kids don't go back till 8th Jan, they always seem to get longer hols than other kids - not fair
Moggins your coffee table incident has reminded me that I need to scrub mine. DD didn't get paint on it, she wrote 'poo' on it instead - bless:rolleyes: she's 6.0 -
Well my first day at this but I have done the decs and the cards (not in the loft yet but tidy upstairs in a cupboard). I have just done the 27 fling thing and have got rid of stuff that has just been sitting under my nose for ages so I think I am going to like being a flylady...
I have even waxed my fire surround so keep looking at how nice it looks.0 -

27 fling boogie (for all just joining that means grab a rubbish bag and run around until you have found 27 items that need to go in the bin.)- done
Remove christmas decs and store away carefully for next year. Put all christmas cards safely to one side. done
Tidy, dust and hoover main living area (I've put it this way for those who don't have a separate living room. tidied, dusted, and mopped wooden floor
Spend 30 mins filing paperwork. 30 MINUTES ONLY! I don't want anyone getting bogged down in paperwork and forgetting everything else. Remember babysteps. maybe later
Go through christmas cards making lists of who sent them. If new contact details or phone numbers are included on these cards then transfer details immediately to address book. done
