Pixie it's all about working out when is best for you aswell, the ideas are there, it's just about fitting them around your life. Understandably you are tired at the end of each day, but maybe trying to fit in 15, or even 30 minutes a day might free up a little of your weekend time. 27 fling boogies took me less than five minutes today for example. Perhaps you can pick something small like that to help take the strain off the weekend. With batch cooking if I am out all day with meetings etc I set it away on the morning in the slow cooker, sometimes with a timer on incase the day runs over, and when I get home at tea time I pack it all up for the freezer and pop it in before bed. Means there is one for tea there too :)

Dogs rooms done, just got to do the kids tea time dishes, DP treating me to a curry for tea so just the washing up to do after that and the floors to redo just before bedtime. Kids are now in bed, fingers crossed they stay there. Might tackle this desk seeing as I am sat here, it's shocking!
One day I might be more organised...........

went out visiting relatives most of the day as i was just about to make a start on the decs oh decided we were going out and that he'd help do the decs tomorrow, but did manage to get the bathroom moped and wiped before we went out.
christmas cards down and put away ready for when kids are bored for them to cut into gift tags.
    sink shiny .
paper work will have a sort through later(have about 5 boxes full so the 30mins at a time is brilliant for me other wise i would just either not bother or give up half way through).
27 fling boogie done first thing this morning.
hot spot around pc desk so will tackle that in a minute.
this time i'm determind to stick to this and be able to keep on top of the house work as normally by the time iv done all the everyday chores theres either no time left or im too tired to do anything else.so thanks again for inspiring me to get things done.

    Hallo everyone

Been trying to do the Flylady thing with the emails but to be honest they are driving me mad. So I have decided to join in here and once and for all get my house company ready!

I have only just noticed the thread so I will start on the list now. The decs are already down (got rid of on Boxing day), and am halfway through making cards into tags for next year.

    Going to shine sink now

Bye and a Happy New Year

I am jumping in today too. :D

Did all of Moggins' list, apart from taking the decs down - will do that in the next couple of days. Also did a menu-plan for the week, and shopping list for tomorrow.

It's ages since I did my last 27-fling boogie. Thank you for the push, Moggins!

Well done everyone. You've all made a brilliant start.

Tomorrow I am tackling the dining room, hallway and landing

The tree is to come down, clean tablecloth to go on, 2 boxes of christmas food to be moved into cupboards. Special dinner service to go away into cupboard and computer moved back into it's normal place.

For those of you without a dining room, try hallway, landing and tidy two cupboards plus another 30 mins tackling paperwork/filing.

    Phew, I'm exhausted!

I've ironed 33 items and have about another 50 to go, but I'll try and get through those tomorrow. I have done about 6 loads of washing, taken down the Christmas cards, and polished the sitting room furniture. I still need to hem two pairs of trousers, and make DH sandwiches for tomorrow.

Although I feel exhausted, it's a satisfying feeling knowing that at long last I am tackling the mess that is in our home.

Thanks Moggins for setting this thread up for us all.
