Issue 1 was withdrawn 6th October. NetSaver Issue 2 now released. It has less favourable terms than the old account but still beats the competition for similar accounts.

    3.16% including 2.16% bonus until 31/01/13. Minimum £1000.

Bonus on issue 2 (2.16%) payable to 31/1/2013 but bonus on issue 1 (2.25%) payable to 30/11/2012.

So anyone with an issue 1 account may also want to open an issue 2 as well with £1,000 (and reduce it immediately to £1) to give them the option to switch to the issue 2 on 30 November 2012 when the issue 1 bonus runs out. You can open one account for each issue.

Personally I'm not bothering as I am asuming that by November 2012 better accounts will have come along.

Has anyone discovered where on the Derbyshire BS website there exists a up to date list of the interest rates currently paid on each savings account the BS have to offer, whether closed to new investors or not?

I've recently opened the Netsaver 1 @ 3.25% - sadly, now no longer available - and just wanted to find where I should be looking to check that the variable element of the rate was still 1% and hadn't declined. Can't find it anywhere!

Has anyone tried to find a list of rates on The Derbyshire website, and if so have you had any luck ....... and would you care to share? Thanks!

    Many thanks noh!!! Much appreciated.
  • I sent off the application forms for Issue 1 on 4th Oct but still haven't received any communication back from Derbyshire as of 21st Oct. The initial cheque was cashed shortly after posting and I have phoned up customer services who have confirmed my account is active. They are just telling me to keep waiting as they are experiencing heavy demand - not impressed at all :(

Just to mention the Derbyshire Building Society net saver (issue 2), that is the account paying 3.16% AER, is being withdrawn today to new applications see here.

Looks like it is still possible to apply today so need to act quick if you are going for it.

Please act quickly to avoid postal delays

Just a heads up that Issue 1 interest has been paid today. It's presented in a rather odd way on the statement, which has two entries 'INTEREST PAYMENT' and 'TAX PAID'. It appears that 'INTEREST PAYMENT' is not the GROSS amount as you would probably have expected, but NET interest.
