I turn my back for 5 minutes and I come back to a different thread! :rotfl:
Mrs Chip, you are in fine form this evening - thanks to you I nearly choked on my tea - you seriously cracked me up this evening, thanks for the laughs! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Just back from dinner with a friend, was lovely even if it was a bit extravagant. My budget is going to require some wrangling to get back on track but I'm well stocked up so I think I can cut back on groceries if I can only get myself organised to do some meal planning for a change.
Hope everyone's doing ok, hugs where needed. xTrying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

Ok I've cut my hot water bottle into strips and I'm trying to knit it. But there's quite a lot of knots in it. Will it do??
Unless anybody can give me a link to a site that sells latex in 4ply ...0 -

Did you remember to empty the hottie first? And hottie refers to the hot water bottle, not the RV.
I need to stop googling. There's even a fan page for homemade gimp masks on facebook! :rotfl:

Hi all
got myself a second hand book from play.com yesterday, and was so pleased with it I thought I would mention it on here. It's called The Thrift Book Live well and spend less, and is by India Knight.
Full of tips to save money and she writes about a lot of areas. I know we all have lots of great tips and I for one have learned so much from others on here, and thank you again everyone. What I loved about it too is she has a chapter about money and gives an understanding of how money works in the world. I only paid £2.45 for it and free p&p which is good too.:) I will add it to my wee library:) take care everyone.xDo a little kindness every day.;)0 -
I see some alternative sources of income for a few of the knitters here0

I have that one too Margaret. I was quite an entertaining read though one gets the impression that India doesn't need to be very thrifty.Glad you enjoyed it and you paid alot less for it than I did.
