Surely rubberwear is very OS - keeps you nice and warm so saves on heating? :D

Only until the first time you need the toilet. It took us 25 minutes to put my mate Dotty back into her outfit in the pub toilets one night. Rubber makes you sweat....

I haven't posted for a while. I've been knitting halloween bags for the house elf and his friends. They'd make good little gift bags for christmas presents too. They look like this and this. I'm sure they could be done in christmas colours with a few snowflakes cut out and stuck on, or felt baubles. They only take a couple of hours. Probably less if you don't have a 6 year old in the house!

I'm well into my winter preparations here by the way....toilet roll stashed, freezers almost full....store cupboard shelves almost full. I don't live out in the wilds, but being on my own with a 6 year old, it's good not to be worrying about shopping when the snow starts....

Or one of these (not for those of a sensitive nature or drinking tea!)

good grief - can wool stretch?????

I only logged on to say I've now made 2 successful loaves with the new breadmaker (and scoffed one of them almost immediately) and you have thrown me completely. I think I'll have to retire to bed (seriously traumatised) and return tomorrow when I've regained my composure:)

Rather tired this evening, and struggling to remember the difference between BNS and BDSM .... modern life is so complicated. If I get it wrong, my OH may well go AWOL.

This thread is starting to remind me of that TV series, the secret lives one...

I couldn't wear a gimp mask, I'm far too claustrophobic for that. But I will give you a story about our proclivities here. We were in the local supermarket, and hubby picked up a spatula. It was quiet in there and late night, so I bent over and gave him my best "naughty girl" look. He made as if to use the spatula, and then said "not here!" in an annoyed tone. We looked around to see where the giggling was coming from, and two elderly ladies were quite entertained by us.

P.S Liver is evil and should be destroyed. My DM is a terrible cook and I shudder at what she can do to a piece of offal. It isn't a pretty sight.

I would say that I'd tie you down and make you try mine, but given the recent posts on this thread that would be sorely misconstrued.

I made a stew last night - soya mince, barley, potatoes, carrots, stock. It's OK but a bit boring. Any suggestions what I can add to give it a bit of zing, please? I think I should have fried an onion first but I didn't have any.

Whenever I'm using soya mince I add in salt, pepper, ground coriander, ground cumin, ground cardamom and a pinch of chilli. For some reason that makes it taste meatier. And I'd tend to fry the onion until soft, add in the soya mince and spices, fry a bit more, then add the stock. Too late to help now, but might help someone else at some point.

I'm in a more positive frame of mind Christmas wise now thanks to you guys, and am going to get my bum in gear. I think it's only human though to be hit from time to time with the thought of "I wish I could just buy it rather than make it out of toilet roll tubes" :rotfl:
