kezfiesta- I've bin bostin. How bist yow? I'm chuffed to see yow. It's enough to make me crave grey pays and bacon.

lizzyb1812- Thanks for the suggestions, but given the crowd I'm feeding I'd end up eating it all myself while they eat sugar laden goodies. That might not be such a bad thing however lol.

charlies-aunt- I'm sorry to hear about your cat.

    wb beanrua :)

I'm trying to get hold of my friend to find out the details of the jumble sale, but she isn't answering either phone. So at the moment I'm at a bit of a loose end. I don't even want to venture out to the rotary line to peg out washing at the moment.
I think I'll do some more knitting. I've now knitted 4 scarves and 3 pairs of handwarmers, so that's a few presents sorted out. This is the handwarmer pattern if anyone is interested. I'm definitely a beginner knitter and I can knit a pair in an afternoon. I've been using DK wool and they have turned out fine.

Yea haribo, one has looked at that but one has decided no tae bother :D The thing I notice most about west of Ireland weather is that you don't get that horrible damp chill coming down at dusk liek you do here. It stays warm even when its dark. And I found the Aran islands almost tropical - I had to get dragged out of there and had a tantrum on the boat coming home !!:D

admittedly it was only to retreive my son who had been swept in by a rouge wave - I had to do something - OH just stood there laughing!!

If I win the lottery this week then I might take a look at this place... ;)
I want it! Galway is gorgeous! Ceridwen - there are deals to be done for sure because our banks are hardly giving out mortgages these days. So it is very much a buyers market. But if it's economising you're after, I don't think Ireland's the place to do it, not south of the border anyway! It is possible to live fairly cheaply with some effort though.

lol - I never thought anything of the name daft.ie before but now that you mention it, it's funny!
Mardatha - any word on your boiler being fixed? Am worried about you and RV freezing and sitting in the dark! Hopefully it's not too cold yet.

I had my candle lit last night too, was thinking of anyone who might need a little light shining into their life at the moment.

GreyQueen Aw, that's lovely about the shelves - glad SG is happy! I heard that news atoo bout the particle moving faster than the speed of light and the message I got from it was that rules are made to be broken and don't believe people when they tell you things are impossible! :D Have fun operating on Mr Pumpkin!

Hope you all have a great day! :) x
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

A big red wave??? The North Sea is more polluted than I thought. :D:p;)

Must go and do something with my day :o. I have an eye on the cupboard of doom at the top of the stairs which I need to clear out and OH is going to reshelve it so it becomes a walk in cupboard.

I feel that I COULD possibly hollow this particular pumpkin out and use it as a spare bedroom.........:rotfl:
