I have stuck to my budget this month, but just been to the supermarket for some things I needed. My last spending of the month. Ended up spending much more than I wanted to as there was very little left. I did get a few bargains in the reductions but not much. They even ran out of potatoes, so I have had to buy ready made mash (was one pot left in the chiller section) which is totally not OS of me but I needed it for tonights dinner. Had to buy the more expensive breads and rolls (thus tempting me more to buy a bread maker) Everything apart from milk I had to buy a more expensive one than I intended.

Moggins I am the same with the boys rooms, it's like mission impossible tackling them, good luck.

Happy New Year aswell to those who hit the New Year earlier than us in Australia and New Zealand :)
One day I might be more organised...........

    Good afternoon everyone,

Hello :hello: and welcome to all the new posters, i hope you carry on posting and enjoy your time with us in OS!!!!

Well, made it back from the bedlam that was Plymouth. The weather is getting worse as the day goes on, but we made it everywhere we wanted to go without getting too wet!!!!
Managed to take back my skirt, but ended up buying the children a new game for their DSs, but it was the brain training one, so hopefully educational!!! They also spent the rest of their xmas money, but they are happy with what they have bought, so thats the main thing.
We then went to Asda, and they had plenty of milk, so that kept me happy, and also had some bits reduced, i picked some up and the young lad asked if i wanted them reduced futher!!!! Really good of him to do that, it wasnt great savings, but i prefer anything with money off than full price and some of it was prob half price, so very good. Also popped into Tescos, but they didnt have anything much reduced at all, but i needed cherry tomatoes for DD (she loves them) so was worth taking a look.
Right, now going for the bath that i didnt have this morning, bit like you lil-me, having a pamper for me, then nibbles and telly/dvd with the children tonight, will prob be hanging around MSE half the night, but for those who wont be here have a lovely evening and ....

    Ohhhhhh hello everyone :hello:

Got up late, pottered around a bit, put a few treats out for my budgies and listened to some music. Now I'm online for a while.

Tonight a nice party at friends awaits me, but right now I don't feel like making the effort :o I feel so relaxed and cosy at home... But I really should go, they're such good friends and there will be others I know well, I've already got the booze to bring along, so...

Tomorrow afternoon I shall work out my 2007 budget.:j

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ONE AND ALL! :j:j:j:j

Woke quite late, have a real pain in the neck with this cold:D

Did a bit of packing but the lights went out for a few minutes and really unsettled us. Really hoping the wind doesn't blow our electricity out tonight.

Spent ages preparing for our BBQ steak, aubergines and spuds later. I have made a chocolate fondue using choux balls, biscuits and fruit for dipping, so if we lose power, we will be fine. We have cheese and biscuits to nibble on too. It is only the two of us. Our son is out with mates for the new year:)

    Hi all

Just a quickie from me. I'm about to catch up on the thread and read all your news.

I've got rid of the family - sent them to DH's mum and dad. My mum and dad have gone home. I've got the chicken roasting in the oven. I've poured myself a "small" amaretto and about to watch "Divine secrets of the ya-ya sisterhood" (courtesy of brother's gift voucher - ta bruv) Oh- and I've got my knitting out!

    So I'm a happy peem.

take care all and all the best when it comes!

Hi everyone - just been reading through a lot of the threads - I feel as though I have maybe been a bit rude in the past, as I have often answered threads, but never really joined in - Well I thought I ought to now, so here goes -
A little about myself, married for 38 years, 4 adult children, one of whom still lives at home, 6 grandchildren, and used to do old style stuff years ago, but got out of the habit until March 2006 when it has become a necessity again - but I am thoroughly enjoying it now.
