Hi everyone - can a newbie join in here? We were off to a party tonight, but DH is suffering with cold and sore throat. I baked some chocolate brownies and was to take them over with my apologies....sadly they came out of the oven ruined (no sugar!)...I do hope this isn't an omen for 2007...Resolution:

Just managed to come back to post thanks to all of you for your lovely welcome. DD has just gone off to friends to a party. OH is going out 9 ish, and I have decided to stay at home - I just can't be bothered going out. I really enjoy having the house to myself, and not feeling guilty for spending such a lot of time on the PC.0

Happy New Year y'all,
Well, here we sit in front of the roaring fire (been kept nicely stoked all year, can you tell, that even after 3yrs it's still a novelty!) .... starters have been eaten (chilli prawns) ..... new potatoes are roasting in the oven, steak will go on shortly. DH is on 'phone to his ma, my ma is off partying somewhere!
Champers is open, chateauneuf du pape (bought "cheap", ha ha) from Waitrose (DH's crimble pressie) breathing ... life is simple
Thank you all for keeping me company over the past year, and I hope I can carry on keeping you company next year.
Best wishes to all
Take Care
