Can someone give me a kick? I haven't summoned up the courage to venture into DD's room yet. I put it off by unloading the dishwasher, folding the dry clothes, putting the wet stuff on the airer and putting another load into the washing machine instead.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Good afternoon everyone! I think I'm finally rejoining the human race!!
Feeling tons better today, the improvement is so dramatic I'm finding it hard to believe! I've even got some energy:D But don't worry I'm not about to waste it on housework, I shall save it for New Year celebrations!:rotfl: Not going out, prefer to stay at home with some decent drinks. My son will be on duty in Trafalgar Square tonight (policeman), so he'll get enough excitement for all of us!
OOh only minutes until Aussie celebrates. Happy New Year Aussie! And to everyone else, hope 2007 brings what you want!
Hope Snowy and all the other "poorlies" are feeling better soon!
Take care

Hi everyone  Hope you are all well and having a good New Years Eve
:hello: Welcome Mrs_Froogle, jennybb and peony40 and to tink1981 for yesterday :hello:
I got a half-price boneless leg of pork yesterday and it is now in the oven, scored and stuffed with slivers of garlic and ginger, and smelling fantastic
There should be loads of leftovers which I will freeze up for roast pork ready meals to keep me going during January.
Also need to get a use-up root veg soup going in the SC, also for the freezer... think I might need a second freezer at this rate
Can't stay long as I've just found out I have to work tomorrow, which I wasn't expecting, but it is to help out a work mate with a very, very sick child so I have nothing to complain about.
The tree and decs will have to come down today, and as for that huge pile or Ironing
..........................
Happy New Year Aussielass and all of our Antipodean pals - Here comes 2007 :TMy first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

Afternoon all, another lazy day in the house of Zed's
The fire is blazing, the wind is roaring and the rain is pelting .... best place to be is in here
DH and DD are making a lion (or teddy bear) on the table with glue and scissors and things ... I'm staying firmly in front of this fire with the laptop, doing some more family history research. Might find a choccie to nibble on in a while, or call for DD to deliver one to me, LOL.
Decos are still firmly up and staying that way until 12th night, we only put them up on Christmas Eve, so want them to stay a little longer.
NYE will be spent at home, which reminds me I need to get the steak out of the freezer in a minute (or two or three ... )GC - March 2024 -0 -

Happy New Year!_party_
I do hope that 2007 is a good year for you all. We are out with friends for a little while tonight just to see the New Year in and then I will need to catch up with some sleep.
OH has just taken dd back to London. The house is so quiet! I have taken the cards down and some of the decs as other than the tree and some lights over the fireplace, I have had enough
Glad you are feeling better CM! I am still a little wheezy but def over the worse. Don't like the sound of the sickness bug though! DS was ill with it a couple of days before Christmas and missed some of the celebrations.
2007 already for Aussie lass - hope the celebrations are going well!
Take care

Catznine, we've done the cold/flu virus thing!! It would be beyond cruel if we got the sickness bug! Haven't felt wheezy at all so far today, so fingers crossed. Hope you continue to improve!

Bad night again last night, did not wake until 9.50.............have just finished cleaning and drying washing so I have a nice clean house to welcome in the new year.
Prepared the supper, roast chicken, stuffing, roasties, carrots, parsnips brussels, and apple, rhubarb and raspberry crumble, that should keep us going for dessert for 3 if not 4 days and the chicken will do 3 suppers.
Just chilling out now with a coffee and a piece of coffee gateaux........
We are not doing anything special tonight, no point going to bed as fireworks will be going off all round us, bedlam.....so we may well watch a DVD, I have got Gone with the Wind..........could watch that or maybe one of the others....
Off now for a bit of a doze before I start cooking the supper..............enjoy the rest of the day............Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0
