We were really lucky - only DD (21) was really ill and a couple of us felt a little queasy.
As DD was really ill and could not even keep water down I went to the chemist and got "Buccastem" over the counter. It is meant for sickness and nausea associated with migraine and you place it between gum and top lip to absorb.
It did the trick and DD is now much better.
So grateful to the person on one of the other boards that suggested this."This site is addictive!"

Happy New Years everyone
Only about 3 hours to go here and it's 2007. I've finally chilling out with a glass of red. It's been a big day here and DGS went to bed at 8pm. He had such a big sleep this arv. Must be the heat. Well tiling is going very well. DH put the grout on the floor before he came home for tea. I never thought we could do tiling. It's turned out pretty good. You will get to see a picture of it after all.
Well I hope all your dreams and wishes come true for next year.
Snowy Hope you are feeling a bit better today & CM & those others who are feeling rough. There is so many of you. Poor things. Off to have a wee surf. ByeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

OMG How many people are up and about at this time on a Sunday Morning, I hope you are all having productive mornings so far.
Morning all you early birds (well it is early for a sunday!!!)
I spent last night making myself a 'Moggins Manual' It is perfect for me as I love lists and things like that. I still have a few things to do on it but it will be finished today ready for my New years resolution - Be More Old Style.
I have taken some of the decs down and don't you love the way the room looks cleaner and bigger when they come down?
Todays jobs : Finish washing and put clothes away, Buy some beeswax to try and make my fireplace look a bit better (I bought an unfinished pine one and have put some dark wood dye on it - it looks nice but someone said beeswax would make it look great), I have a set of pictures to put up (bargain from next) and need to put the slow cooker on to cook a gammon joint.
We are just going to stay in tonight and have a quiet one, I hear the weather is going to be mad windy tonight so anyone off out - Take Care0 -

Learning to save
The "Buccastem" cannot be taken by under 18s - you may have to fib and say you want it for nausea associated with migraine as that is what it is marketed for.
Re beeswax for fireplace - I used an equal mixture of olive oil and lemon juice in a jar - applied a little with a soft cloth - let it soak in for an hour or so then polished with another cloth."This site is addictive!"

Morning all. I could have slept for Britain again this morning. I didn't get to bed until 1am though as I was trying to watch some stuff recorded onto the tv drive box so I could clear some space. I really need to get into DD's bedroom today to clear some space as I am tired of tripping over Barbies Magical Cloud Kingdom in the living room. How they could fit something so huge into such a small box amazes me.
DD is currently dressed as Barbie complete with makeup and following all the dances on 12 Dancing Princesses so she's quiet and happy. I'd better make the most of it and unload the dishwasher and get some more washing on.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Good Morning Everyone.
Lovely to see you back on Queenie, enjoy your 'indulgence' day today.
JamieDodger, way to go with the debt :T:T What a fantastic thing to look forward to, DFD July 2007 :j Thats brilliant. I'm sure with all the help and tips on here you will glide towards that goal effortlessly.
We're off to friends for a dinner party tonight, so really looking forward to that. My parents always babysit for us on NYE, as they don't like to go out and enjoy having the girls over. They have asked if they can have them from lunchtime today, which is great, so Mr Frizz and I are going to go and see Casino Royale. He looks fab in the trailers.
So it's a big goodbye to 2006 and here's to a fantastic 2007.
Cheers everyone.
