Morning all
it's christmas day in our house as we were all separated for the day itself. Everyone is asleep though and i want to wake them up to get it all over and done with - yes i am a true Grinch. exdh and middle dd are snoring on the sofas down here, eldest and youngest dd are in youngest's room and dgs seems to have the big double bed in eldest's room to himself. i went to bed early last night so there might have been a session judging by the mess.
Everythings wrapped and there is a veggie terrine in the fridge waiting to go in the oven - just got to have a quick tidy up, prepare sprouts, carrots and gravy and make myself look beautiful for the photos (this last will take the most time obviously). As soon as christmas dinner is out of the way we shall start our new year's celebrations
dds have informed me that i am NOT doing CRISIS Open Christmas next year but we'll see
have a good'un
stefI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Hello everyone, I've not been on since before Christmas, so I hope you all had a good one, and Santa was kind to you!!
I've already been to work this morning to accept a delivery, and hopefully that's it for today. Called at the oatcake shop on the way back, so we're having bacon, cheese and oatcakes for breakfast, yum!! We went to a butchers in Buxton and got the bacon before Christmas, it's dry cured and they make it there, and it's fantastic - quite fatty, but you get lets of 'dip' to mop up with the oatcakes.
DH and DD still in bed, DS wants Hot Weels putting on the Playstation, but tbh I've got no idea how to do it so I'm stalling for time.
Enough waffling for now, I'll wish everyone a fantastic New Year in case I don't get back on today and I'll catch up with everyone in 2007.
Have a good one.

Good morning everyone,
Most upset now, posted a reply, and it all disapeared!!!! never mind, will try again!!!!
Tierdmum - have a lovely holiday xx
Well, need to go into town today, after our week of laziness - i need to take back the one thing i bought myself in the Next sale, a lovely brown skirt, but i dont need it, and the £12 will be more useful somewhere else, so im being good!!! Also need to get a birthday card for a party DD is going to next week, its a Dr Who themed party, so DD is going as the Runaway Bride, so just need to get some netting from the charity shop as a veil and shes sorted.
Right, off for a quick browse and then a nice bath - ive taken some stew out of the freezer for lunch/dinner today, we've just had a big bowl of porridge each for breakie, so might use the stew as a late lunch early dinner today, as we are staying in tonight, and will do some snacky food to help the evening go with a swing (looking forward to my new popcorn maker too!!!)
Happy Christmas to those celebrating today, and for those who wont be back later (we will!!!)
Have a lovely day everyone,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Good Morning All
Had a lie in and not done much so far - just empied wm and will reload it in a min - really dont know where all the washing is coming from at the mom, seems to be double whilst the kids are off.
I like many others will still be ironing today. Need to get steak out of freezer for tonights dinner, having stuffed mushrooms for starters. Dont think DS & DD will like this though so will have to find out what they fancy in a min. Need to pop to Asda later and hope to find some meat bargains.
OH really wants to go out tonight but the rest of us dont want to, thats what I hate about NYE, the fact you feel like you should go out. Hopefully he will come round to our way of thinking.
Have a great day all and a fantastic time tonight whatever you do.
PS Mrs Mix - have a great holiday.0 -

I refuse to iron till the 2nd!!!!! Not had breakfast yet so may go and make toast before i go out.
