TBH I never went away. I look at MSE every dayand also I never saw any advice. I can only assume it was on a post by the one user I have blocked (due to previous nastiness from them) or that it was posted on a daily thread after the date.
Reverbe, you were given loads of advise on the daily the other day, I think it was saturday, weather you choose to listen to it is up to you, as for the poster you have blocked, due to some 'nastiness' I am not sure the daily is the place to bring that up again. I do know who you are talking about, and they have always been extremely helpful to me, and helped me through a very difficult time in my life, as I said I dont think this should be bought up again here.0 -
oops I nearly posted on yesterdays thread cos it was above this one
Evening everyone
Congrats to Mr & Mrs Beemuzed
not a lot going on here, need to start making lists for our week and a day away. Need to list stuff for the wedding weekend, then another list for the camping after.
Work has been errrrrr work! Hate it when I get new starter forms to process the same time as wages, don't matter if managers are told not to do this, they still do, then you feel guilty that if you don't process the starters they won't get paid, but while I am doing that the wages don't get done....catch 22 situation
Have an infestation of ants at the moment, they are coming in at the front of the bungalow, which means both the bedrooms are creepy and crawly and even flyee as some of them are flying ants. Spoke to neighbour and she says when landlord was here last week he took up paving slabs on our path and told her there were two ant nests  shame he didn't do anything about it, was in our bedroom tonight with sealant trying to block them but fighting a losing battle as noticed that above window needs resealing too, have shoved ant powder down everywhere and will be in touch with agents to say windows need resealing. have had shower as felt itchy all over and am sleeping on sofa tonight lol
I have read thread but most has fallen out of my head, sorry xx
anyways hugs to those who need or want one

Met new landlord today - swoon! :rotfl:. Seems nice enough, said eh will sort out a few niggles for us by next week. Then took housemate to Asda for some bits as she still can't use her hand.

reverbe - before sayingnever saw any adviceYour life is in your hands, Reverbe, only you can make the changes needed.Firstly don't assume that everything is as rosy as it appears via FB or Twitter. Everybody's life has some crud, just some choose to show it others don't.
As for feeling like a failure, look at it this way you can sit back and whine about how things might have been and play the victim or you can change your attitude and make the best of what you have and take steps to improve your future. You should have a nose as Memory Girls Matrix thread on Debt Free diaries board. Positivity and a "can do" attitude oozes from every pore on there.I don't know the in's and out's of your life BUT the key word here is highlighted. Your PAST. Not your present or your future. Is dragging past baggage with you helping you at all? Perhaps friend from 6th form didn't know what to say and took the chickens way out and ran. Who knows. Are you going to add this to your baggage to carry around? As for no work, family or relationships......so what. The fact that you've got none shouldn't be a reason to be an emotional vampire. there isn't any need to change your looks, but it might be worthwhile changing your outlook.Reverbe, as others have said, only you can make changes in your life, if you are unhappy you need to do something about it, its not going to fall into your lap.Sorry to pop in when I don't normally post here, but I felt that I had to reply to this...
Reverbe, I have read your posts over a number of years and I have to agree with Bitsy Beans. Whilst I can sympathise with the circumstances you have described, in all of your posts I have never, ever read a positive comment from you.
Perhaps now is the time for change? Could you find one positive thing to post about tomorrow? I am sure that the lovely people on this thread would welcome it and support/encourage you to find other positives in your life.
This isn't a criticism and I hope that you'll take it in the way it was intended. I wish you all the luck in the world in finding a happier life.Reverbe, I know you are very matter of fact about how your life has turned out, but there is no shame in wanting more than you have, sometimes its the journey to our goals which shape our lives, rather than what we find when we reach them.
that is just from saturdays thread. you posted at the end of so should have seen it."I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0 -
TBH I never went away. I look at MSE every dayand also I never saw any advice. I can only assume it was on a post by the one user I have blocked (due to previous nastiness from them) or that it was posted on a daily thread after the date.I dont really have anything I'd like to achieve (think thats why i didnt get on with the Memorygirl thread which does seem in parts to be about ppl overcoming difficulties or getting their dreams) and I never said I was unhappy with my life. Am accepting and just relating in an honest way. I am not one of those ppl who say yeah lifes good etc when its not. I do not believe in peddling lies or trying to gloss over reality.
I suppose you could say finding work but I am already jobsearching for full days and trying to do voluntary work (when Oxfam can be arsed to get back to me.. apparently they have to chase references and have had issues with one of my refs. OK the guy they were trying to call lost his phone just after I submitted them but I have since been in and given them another 4 referees in addition to the 4 before including one written reference, I have had more trouble with them that most non voluntary jobs I have had and they would be getting my labour free)Even the JObcentre peeps and skills training advisors say that I am doing all i can and working longer hours than a fulltime job to seek employment. Plus I am even resorting to learning obscure computer software packages in addition to the countless ones I know already.. eg a MIcrosoft package so rare and obscurely used in such a minority of offices that hardly anyone teaches it .(Am learning it from a trial package and book bought from Amazon) just in case I ever come across a job that asks from it - its a specialist field of project management used only in construction etc..
But as I said I dont have any dreams and am not unhappy with my life but I really do want to thank everyone for their comments, advice , care and support. I do like MSE peeps.:j:beer:
OH and Happy Anniversary to the bemuzzeds !! xxx
Reverbe...you will probably put me on ignore or report me but I have to comment on your posts. You flit in and out of the daily thread when it suits you, you take offense when people have tried to help and then come over all 'poor me' all those nasty people picking on me.
If you really want to change your life, only you can do it, please don't put people on this thread down for suggesting things to you (everything they suggest you have a negative answer for) this is a lovely day to day thread where people help and support each other, it has helped me so much in the past and I get upset when people are so negative at the friendly response.
If this thread does not help/lift you maybe you would be better seeking professional help, as us on here are just friendly people suggesting how you can make your life better.whoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Hello all,
Have had my usual busy morning with knitting group, then home to be told that my elder godson, his wife and two little boys were calling, they live in Scotland but have been on holiday in Ireland for last 2 weeks....thought that was all happening next month, so quick batch of scones into oven, quick tidy up and enjoy the visit when they arrived...the smaller boy is 16 months and into everything, so only really spoke to one parent at a time, as one was permanently on duty keeping him from killing himself, this house is no longer small-child-friendly!
Warm here to-day, very little sun, but managed to get a machine load dry, OH is still cutting logs, will be at it until Christmas (sorry!) at the rate he is moving, but he does get tired very quickly nowadays, he watered the greenhouse while I was out, so saved me a job.
Got rid of my older breadmaker to a member of knitter's group....2 things outof a cupboard now, might tidy it out to-morrow and re-arrange some of the stuff in the kitchen.
Off to bed in few minutes as want to see the doctor in morning if I can....we don't have appointments, first come first served....works well sometimes....another €65 down the drain, but I need to see him about this non-stop tiredness.
Sleep well all and stay safe

Dazi as I said I dont have anything in my life that needs changing. I am quite ok with things and I did also say a big thanks to everyone for their comments/concern which you must have missed.I do not need to seek professional help as you feel the need to comment. I am not mental nor do I have any serious issues.I took offence only on 2 occasions once with aforesaid poster and once with you here where you seem to think I have some deep mental problems.
NOBODY was put down.As for flitting in and out of the daily thread I read it every day but as I dont have a husband, family, kids etc there isnt as much to post about as everyone else here so I dont tend to post much.
Donny girl I have never said I am not a people person.I am very friendly outgoing and selfless. I have said I am not a ppl pleaser not the same thing and the issues with work was with one girl only who was out and out weird and seemed to have a split work personality pretending to be nice to everyone else and in the confines of our room being a workplace bully.I really dont have any aspirations in life. Have never been a dreamer.. lifes too short to waste on maybes..And again only one person on MSE has been nasty and that person is blocked and ignored. The rest of you are lovely people whose posts I love to read. What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -
