Morning all, well it was when I started typing!
Just arrived home with the DGD's, I dropped hubby at the station, collected SIL at dropped him at work, DGS is at school so it's just me & the 2 girls, I've only just managed to get my breakfast so shared it with DGD1, DGD2 is attempting to crawl. I can't see mt getting much housework done today.
You don't sound snippy BB, keep us updated on how you get on Reverbe, follow your dreams.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Afternoon folks,
Found the thanks buttons now so have updated my thanks.
Had hm chicken & vegetable soup from yesterday's left-overs for lunch. Fed the three of us well and there's still lots left.
Will make the carbonara sauce in a little while and cook the pasta so we can eat before DD goes off to work. She is working so hard and for the minimum wage but it will all help to keep her afloat when she goes back to uni. DD wants to make a pavlova so we will use the leftover egg whites to make the meringue base
Lots of towels now dry on the line. It has been a glorious day here which is unusual for the school holidays
Hugs all xOutside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

Good Afternoon All
Had a very good weekend at Woodhall Spa, the weather held nicely for us, mainly raining when we were asleep.
DH is doing minor improvements to the 'van so is happily "playing". He is happy when he can potter about doing bits and bobs, which catch his eye. Now is he potting on some succulents into pots which we brought back from Spain to add a bit of colour to the garden.

Should have put some washing on earlier, but haven't got round to it, so will pop a load on now, and they will go on the airer in the conservatory.
DH & GF's flat purchase is progressing, they have had their mortgage agreed, and had the BS Survey, just waiting a better Survey to be sure due to the age of the house and it is in the top floor. I think they have set themselves an impossible task on what they want to start with (not necessarily new) but they fancy a couple of 2 seater Chesterfield sofas, and there are not that many about. The sellers wanted £449 for the second hand washer, so we said no thanks as we can buy a new one cheaper. I think the amount of money they have for setting up may need to have some elastic in the middle if they are to get what they would like. Any comments on what makes to avoid?
Think I had better go and get my washer working

Don't let them buy a Candy, D-G. I bought one two years ago because it had all the best features I could afford within my price range (up to £400) and it worked great. For TWO WEEKS! Upon investigating, it seems they fault I had in inherent in a lot of Candy models. I did eventually, after about four repairs in as many months, get my money back, with which I promptly bought a reliable Indesit. My last WM was an Indesit and never broke down at all until the fault which made me get rid of it, after 13 years! That could have ben repaired, but I didn't want to risk throwing good money at possible successive faults on an elderly appliance. Then new one is about 18 months old now, used about eight times times a week and still works as good as a new appliance. It was mid £300s I think.

Hello
I used to post on here a few months ago but I am ashamed to say I starte getting lazy and whilst I read every day I didn't have anything to say.
But I am back on track and hopefully will have lots to contribute.
We are just back from a fabulous holiday in the USA. The weather has been good since we got back so all the washing has been done, line dried, ironed and put away.
Today I have the kids bedding on.
I am experimenting with a new receipe today. OH fell in love with BBQ pulled pork on holiday so I have this in the slow cooker. Really hope it works. The pork joint was only £3.60 from Mo**isons and is fairly big and once shredded down there should be lots of it.
I was in total shock in the supermarket the other day with the prices. When we were in the states we did spend some time in a wallmart and the prices are much lower than here.
Anyway the dishes have also been done so just taking some time to surf the net.
Hopefully I will be back tomorrow.Feb 2012 Grocery Challenge £200/£4.00

Afternoon all,
The washing is dried and folded and I have made a corn beef hash, special request from DH and tried a new recipe with the rhubarb from the garden.
I've made a rhubarb crumble cake which was dead easy, just poach the rhubarb in apple juice and sugar until tender, drain and lay in a dish. I then made a simple sponge to go on top and then a crumble layered on top of that. It looks good but not tested yet, will report in later:D
Everyone home from work now so better get a wriggle on.:)Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

I suppose you could say finding work but I am already jobsearching for full days and trying to do voluntary work (when Oxfam can be arsed to get back to me.. apparently they have to chase references and have had issues with one of my refs. OK the guy they were trying to call lost his phone just after I submitted them but I have since been in and given them another 4 referees in addition to the 4 before including one written reference, I have had more trouble with them that most non voluntary jobs I have had and they would be getting my labour free)Even the JObcentre peeps and skills training advisors say that I am doing all i can and working longer hours than a fulltime job to seek employment. Plus I am even resorting to learning obscure computer software packages in addition to the countless ones I know already.. eg a MIcrosoft package so rare and obscurely used in such a minority of offices that hardly anyone teaches it .(Am learning it from a trial package and book bought from Amazon) just in case I ever come across a job that asks from it - its a specialist field of project management used only in construction etc..
But as I said I dont have any dreams and am not unhappy with my life but I really do want to thank everyone for their comments, advice , care and support. I do like MSE peeps.:j:beer:
