Morning All,
Happy Anniversary Beemuzed:beer:
NPM I also have Rhubarb from the garden, must think of something to make today. Fancy a rhubarb cake for some reason and sure I have had it in the past but can't remember when or where??
Bright and sunny this morning. Have DS2 bedding in the wm as he cleaned his room and changed his bed yesterday which is good, usually means he is expecting a visitor but of course didn't manage to get his bedding in the wash. Oh well good job its fine.
Need to pop out to the bank and post office this morning and pick something up for tea, not sure what yet, whatever is on special offer.
Can't go yet as DS3 is still in bed and don't want to wake him up early first day of the school holidays.
Bit of a run in with DH last night, mainly about the lack of money. He fully agreed with me being at home but is now complaining there is not enough money coming in. I have always had a good job and salary and his has always been hit and miss being self employed, although he does work really hard. I have been ebaying and cutting spending etc but don't think its enough and much as I don't want to think I need to get on with the job hunt. Have seen a couple of possibilities so will apply for those today. Dread the thought of going back to work outside the home but needs must:(:(
Anyway off for some caffeine to get me started. Happy Monday all J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning all - so lovely to be able to get up and not wander around looking for a missing sock, school planner etc. etc. Love the summer holidays! Off to the town centre for meat and veg, then a lazy day with a bit of cooking and freezing. Had a lovely weekend - day out at Wallington Hall on Saturday and a day in the garden watching OH build a six foot fence in the back garden - the dog found a way through the old (very old) fence and went to play so now she's thoroughly penned into our garden.
Hope all have a good day.0 -
Reverbe you will find the most recent MemoryGirl thread in the DFDiaries board, its usually on page one. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Morning all,
Beautiful day here, dd at a sleepover and OH at work, so I slept in till 9.30, have been pottering ever since, also my laptop screen went all funny over night sort of streched wider than normal, have sort of got it back, but its still not quite right.
Nachos for dinner today at dd's request, it really doesn't seem like a meal to me, just mince and cheese on crisps, but she has been asking for ages, so we will give it a go.
Need to hoover through this morning, and do an online shop, then collect dd from the station, and she has the dentist this afternoon.
Will spend a bit of time in the garden later on, its looking good out there now, would like to get a climber for up the side of the shed, might have a look later.
Happy Anniversary to Beemuzed xx
Jackie G Good Luck for OH xx
Have good days all xx0 -
Thanks Jackie.. I dont ever go on those threads..
EDIT just had a quick browse of the first post.. all that stuff about eating "frogs" and The Secret all sounds a bit odd and a little to Oprah to me (ie makes your heart sing ??)but thanks anyway folks..
EDIT 2 thread just looks like the OS daily but without the interesting posts. seems to be a lot of stuff gushing about Amy Winehouse at the moment..plus stuff about getting debt free is useful to some but not really relevant as I dont have any debts..think I'll stay with the lovely folks on the OS boards..x

Actually if you hang around a bit longer you'll see that MG is trying to survive on very little money whilst attempting to get back into having her own business. There are others on there attempting new business ventures, one lady is trying to achieve her dream of moving to Austria, others are going for promotions and new jobs. Eating frogs and the Secret might sound like a load of old phoey and it's not a prerequisite to believe in that stuff however they are a fantastic bunch, all ready to offer advice to those that need it. Just the positive attitude is a breath of fresh air. But then again I suppose you'll see what you want to see.
Sorry if that sounds snippy everyone
Took kids food shopping, wasn't too stressful thankfully. Summer hols are the start of me working full time although mindees aren't here from 9-5 so hopefully will be able to shoe horn in some housework during the free time I'll have.
Tea tonight is chicken pasta bake.
Nowt else to report so hugs and spoons all round. Have a great day OS or not.
