Happy anniversary to the Beemuzeds. XX0

TBH I never went away. I look at MSE every dayand also I never saw any advice. I can only assume it was on a post by the one user I have blocked (due to previous nastiness from them) or that it was posted on a daily thread after the date.I dont really have anything I'd like to achieve (think thats why i didnt get on with the Memorygirl thread which does seem in parts to be about ppl overcoming difficulties or getting their dreams) and I never said I was unhappy with my life. Am accepting and just relating in an honest way. I am not one of those ppl who say yeah lifes good etc when its not. I do not believe in peddling lies or trying to gloss over reality.
I suppose you could say finding work but I am already jobsearching for full days and trying to do voluntary work (when Oxfam can be arsed to get back to me.. apparently they have to chase references and have had issues with one of my refs. OK the guy they were trying to call lost his phone just after I submitted them but I have since been in and given them another 4 referees in addition to the 4 before including one written reference, I have had more trouble with them that most non voluntary jobs I have had and they would be getting my labour free)Even the JObcentre peeps and skills training advisors say that I am doing all i can and working longer hours than a fulltime job to seek employment. Plus I am even resorting to learning obscure computer software packages in addition to the countless ones I know already.. eg a MIcrosoft package so rare and obscurely used in such a minority of offices that hardly anyone teaches it .(Am learning it from a trial package and book bought from Amazon) just in case I ever come across a job that asks from it - its a specialist field of project management used only in construction etc..
But as I said I dont have any dreams and am not unhappy with my life but I really do want to thank everyone for their comments, advice , care and support. I do like MSE peeps.:j:beer:
OH and Happy Anniversary to the bemuzzeds !! xxx
We cannot help, with what we do not know, or do not know what is really your aspirations. You do need them, else you will just tick along as you are, are you still in the same living situation as your were before? I am sure you are doing everything you can do to try to get work. One suggestion, is try not to be so easily offended. Even people on here when they are trying to help, can be mis-construed by yourself as nasty. Disagreeing with your perspective is not being nasty, but often trying to paint the other side of the coin. You have said in the past your are not a people person, and find it hard to get on with others at work, so there is one objective for you, try not to take offence so easily, and if you do, show that you are hurt, do not turn nasty quickly back.
Maybe try other charity organisations if Oxfam are not helpful.

Evening all I am home from my first full time day with the boys. They were little treasures bless them.not a bit of problem and the youngest Mikey has shadowed me all day he thinks its Christmas to have Granny there looking after him
:) This morning we sat and made a little calender to go on the fridge (a bit like an advent one so they can mark off the days) as we told the boys last night at dinner that we were going away to the Isle of Wight in three weeks Chaos reigned for the rest of the evening as they were convinced that no way were they having a holiday this year.So lots of colouring and paper cutting and drawing of beach type things were put on the calender. Then we had a game of scrabble followed by lunch. Then a nice long walak with the dogs to the woods and back .By that time it was almost 4 so an ice cream cornet from the freezer helped their dry mouths and they then went to play a game of footie with some of the other the children in the garden until Mum appeared at 6.p.m. Tomorrow I may take them to the local country park by the river for a change of scenery in the afternoon.I did all of my washing, ironing and hoovering yesterday so I can concentrate on playing with the children this week.I am really emjoying being a 'Mum' again albeit a lot older than when I was the first time around.Plus I can drive home in the evening and relax with a G&T with my dinner knowing I have left 4 happy little lads and a stress-free mum. I peeled the spuds for her and all the washing up is done and put away and the washing is all folded in the washing basket as I managed to get it all sorted today for her.
Happy Anniversary to Mr & Mrs Beemuzzed, and good news jackie G that your BIL is feeling a bit better.
Both of my brothers wore kilts when they were little,a bit of a novelty in the eastend of London, and my youngest brother davy often came home with a black eye and a thick lip as he was a feisty little boy who wouldn't take any stick from anyone:) My late Grandma was a Buchanan, and on my Mums side they were Stuarts.
Hope everyone has a good evening I am off to sample some of Mr Gilbeys best with a splash of tonic, ice & slice:)
Cheers chums
