Hi Everyone,
Pinzy, sorry to hear the singers didn't work out. But it sounds like it's for the best if they couldn't commit to a cost!
Lisa, at least you tried the cats in the cattery. It's a shame they didn't like it, but then it is a totally different environment to the loving home that they are used to.
Wendz, hope your mum's hand gets better, and she finds lots to keep her occupied!! Hope you get on ok picking up the dress today as well!!
I had my hen do last weekend, and the girls done good! I was a little concerned about what naughtiness they might have planned after I planned a quite rowdy hen do for my maid of honour a few years ago, but I had nothing to worry about. It was a very classy day, we went to stay in Bath on Friday night, went for breakfast, then to the Thermae Spa, a quick change then for an AMAZING champagne afternoon tea at The Pump Rooms, then for coktails and dinner at a comedy club. A very busy day but still a great one. I totally fell in love with Bath, it was the first time I had ever been, and would really like to go back with OH and spend a bit more time there.
OH's nan is back in the UK now, and was admitted to hospital on her return. I think she has now been admitted to a respite care home until she is beter on her feet, as she lives alone. Still crossing our fingers she will make it to the wedding, she may be in a wheelchair but we are hoping she will still make it.
Our to do list feels like it's getting bigger, every time we tick something off it seems there's something else to add! Also, I've had so many guests saying how excited they are about the wedding, but I'm not quite feeling it yet - is that just me?! My best friend said the same, and that she's more excited about mine than she was about hers, as she had all the stress of planning hers rather than just being a bridesmaid as she will at ours.
Hope everyone is getting on OK with their final stages of planning - not long to go now!!MFW 2016 #32 £1574.66/£1500:j:j0 -
laura that's excellent news that OH's nan is back in the UK. Fingers crossed she'll get well quickly, and be able to make it to your wedding x0

Oh my goodness, July will be here soon!!
For you July 6ers - you get married next week, eek!!
I feel a bit like I've got 2 full time jobs at the moment, my normal one, then emailing and organising stuff for the wedding the rest of the time!!
We are meeting with the venues and the registrar next Thursday, thought we'd get it all done in one day as it is all in Oxford city centre. I've started writing lists of things we need to go through with them, as we have a habit of forgetting to mention things!
We've got the table plan written out and ready to print, and I know the layout I'm going to use. Just need to decide on the card I'm going to print on, then decorate it in the same was as the place cards.
I've just emailed the lady I contacted about nails to see if she is still free on the day before the wedding to come and do 6 manicures, but I might have left it a bit late now, so will have to see what she says.
I have my work hen do on Saturday, it's a joint thing for me and one of the girls who is getting married in September, not sure what's planned but the other bride said she did overhear a conversation regarding Ann Summers, so we shall see!!MFW 2016 #32 £1574.66/£1500:j:j0 -
Ok, I have now booked the manicures for 6 people... When I emailed her I asked if she was still available on the 20th July.. And it wasn't until she was confirming that I realised I had made the appointment for the wrong day, at the time of the wedding ceremony!!! Luckily this has now been rectified and she is coming the day before the wedding-how silly of me!!!MFW 2016 #32 £1574.66/£1500:j:j0

Whoops! Glad the nail lady was ok to shift dates!
A bit of a calm has descended over wedding stuff, we've prioritised the to-do list now, so if we don't do the bits at the bottom of the list no big deal. Mind you, best shift my bum off the laptop, make-up trial lady will be here in an hour!0 -

Laura - I know what you mean about the two jobs, spend half my work time doing e-mails etc wedding related.
Lists are a good idea for venue etc. I took a list of questons to our venue and really helped.
Good news about the nails too!
I gave final numbers to the venue yesterday so just waiting for the final bill now.
My sister is coming over this weekend to help me do some making bits. Hopefully my little girl will actually let us get on!0 -

My state of mind appears to be Officially losing it - dashed up to venue this evening for meeting with wedding co-ordinator, she wasn't there, got home, checked email.. I had the wrong day.0
