I have a new car!! Well, to be truthful, I have put a deposit down, and when all the bits are done (service, MOT, new key etc etc)then I'll be picking it up - hopefully in the next two weeks.
I'm sorry hex, but we didn't have enough time to add in a visit and a bit of pruning! We seem to have spent a whole day travelling, even though it was technically only two hours on the train, and a bus journey.
Mrs Chaos - huge hugs and warm healing vibes heading your way.
greenbee - hope you are resting and recovering. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
[wakes up in strange position on sofa, in pitch black and silence]
Ummmm...huh?
No police sirens (house is just off stretch of pubs and main road), no police helicopter, no cars, no generalised people noise at all.
I can hear the fish tank filter gently humming away...and the little hooting sounds of a sleeping cat. It could be 3am, but that is usually noisier than this.
What is happening? Or not happening?
And who cares - it's less than an hour before the takeaway closes and I still haven't had dinner!
CHAARRRGEEE!I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
I felt well enough to take DH & sons to the city centre today. Have returned with my first lap top
 Got a good bargain:T also stocked up on skincare stuff in the sales (not same shop).
I need to take it easy tomorrow as we are traveling to a theme park to meet up with relatives (inc a baby I haven't met yet) on Monday. DH is having Tuesday at home. I suppose what I'm saying that I should be back flying properly next Wednesday.
Welcome back Mrs AJ glad your homeymoon went well and your DM is ok.
LW Hope Ted has enjoyed his stay. Sending you some energy vibes.
Serena Congratulations to your DS1
Mrs Chaos Hope your OH is soon better and home
Vanilla Hope your Sister's baby stays put

Evening all
I've done so very little today, apart from sorting a few basic meals, having a bath and visiting (hospital and various friends). OH is better than he was yesterday, but will be in for a few days. I really need to speak to a doctor on Monday to find out what exactly is going on. Thank you to everyone for your support. I feel like a hypocrite because things were not good between us before yesterday and are unlikely to improve.
Mrs B - I'll send you an e-mail.
Congrats and welcome back to Mrs AJ. Sounds like the exciting stuff is going to go on for some time. Also congrats to serena's DS.
Hope you managed to get your tea, JoJo.new fave Kathy Reichs
One of mine, too (and Serena's, I think) - I'm just about to finish her latest one.
Time for flying tomorrow as I've got lots to do. At least it sounds like NNs are back from holiday. Company for DS2.
Night all! x0 -
Hi everyone
Been home since Thursday but been dithering a bit. I have however decided on my studying. I've contacted the OU and said I wanted to withdraw as my grade will be bad and restart in October. Pleased I did as my worries about funding they are funding it so I'm basically just putting it on hold while I sort myself outpleased I didn't just struggle on now.
I've got the holiday laundry finished today (including all bed sheets, throws and towels so was a lot) so the linen is packed and the clothes just waiting to be packed to go, don't want to over crease them. I've done most of the shopping I need including a new kettle as the caravan one went pop (for the sake of £4.78 I don't do packing ours up every trip!) I also couldn't resist a small slow cooker/rice cooker/steamer/browning pan combi in Argos half price, for under £13 it will save me on gas alone in the caravan.
Upstairs has been tidied which didn't take a lot but downstairs needs work, decided sod it tomorrow and I'm taking the kids to the beach with some friends instead then I'll do it on Monday while they are at activities (apart from kitchen which I can start tomorrow when doing dinner)
Hugs for you all, extra thoughts for greenbee and MrsChaos xx congratulations for Ajcatch up with you all on Monday xx
One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Seems I'm not the only one who has got very little done today, funny thing is I seem to have been on the Go all day not that you'd know that by looking at the house! Walked into town and taxed the car, accidentally put dark load in wm on to boil wash eeeeeeeeeeeeeep, managed to totally redesign on of dds cardigans, it used to be black and is now grey and about a third of It's original size LOL. She should do her own washing in future! I blame the new machine, dials are different to the one I had before! hey Ho night all x xGo hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0

Morning All
Dog got me up at 4.15 which pleased me no end! WM is on but that's it. I may go back to bed in a min or I might just stay up. Not sure what the plan of action is today although I might do some weeding as it's going to be a nice day.
Welcome home MrsAJ - pleased you've had a good time, your mum is on the mend and you've got a new house.
Vanilla - hope baby is behaving itself.
MrsChaos/Valli - I love Kathy Reichs too - I've got her new book here but I haven't started it yet - may do that later.
Have a good day all
Hugs

Well, there's three loads of washing through, and about to go on the line, DW emptied, three cakes in the oven - sounds far more organised than I feel!
I have lots of admin stuff to do today - my basket is overflowing so serious attention is called for. I also have to write a letter of apology about something which I in no way feel I should be apologising for - long story, but it's causing me a literal headache as I try to work out what exactly I am prepared to say! So that's a definite frog for today.
And it's time I prepared a Toots List.
Off to make a start.Work is not my Hobby0
