My heart goes out to all the people of Norway.....thinking of all those parents waiting for news of their children....its just too huge to imagine....
had a lovely day with dd1 and dd2 yesterday, a good mooch around the shops followed by a lovely sushi lunch......am just finishing reading'the girl with the dragon tattoo' so treated myself to the next two books after this
Just made a huge pan of chicken stirfry with noodles for myself,dh,dd1 and bf..hope fully there will be enough for leftovers tomrrow as well......either that or dd will play the starving student card and will take it with her.......thinking about it the second option seems more likely....
Bramble...hope you get your nap this afternoon..... Have a good saturday everyone...

Bright & sunny here this morning, I went out last night & didn't get home til 2am, what a dirty stopout I am.
Well you can tell it's the holidays, the fridge is full of chocolate, gifts from grateful teachers & this morning instead of the downstairs toilet just getting a swish & swipe, it got a good scrub, the spiders were evicted & I scrubbed round the taps with a tooth brush. All the windows are open upstairs & the covers turned back to air the bed, WM & DW are both on & there is a rice pudding in the slow cooker.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester
You've made me hungry for rice pudding now! May I ask what recipe you use?0 -

:wave:Hi everyone,
Well this is the 4th day in a row I have been up & out before 10a.m  This morning I went to a book signing at our local library by a lady who originally comes from the village I now live in. Nowadays she lives in Canada, anyhoo as we arrived we were all given a bookmark & a canada pen & I thought how nice it was as she had signed the bookmark as I certainly couldn't afford to buy a brand new book, however it turned out that only one of the bookmarks was signed & I won a signed copy of her book :j I am well chuffed & so glad I dragged my butt out of bed. The rest of the day will be spent taking it easy al la JackieO with a bit of knitting & reading the back of my eyelids.
JackieG fingers crossed for your OH x
Tappers ..Happy Birthday :bdaycake:

Happy Birthday Tappers!!
Candy - Don't you worry he's paying for it!! - although he did get a little promotion with the Farmer he contracts for over the summer, so now he's feeling pleased with himself.
Have been to see the inlaws (will post some photos of FB that FIL took of puppy last weekend for all who want to see) and went to see my mum too but she's out and i gave me key to the estate agent so couldn't get any movies! (but HP2 is on later i see!)
Also took the pup to the lake for a swim (him not me - not that you could tell from the state of me!) also sat on a little bench and read a book i found in my car for a while. Nice and relaxing.
Twinks Hobnobs are amazing!! i think OH will enjoy them in his lunch next week (not sure he deserves and though)
Carried out my plan of price comparing morrisons with sainsbobs, i'm glad i did, i think i saved about £4/5 in total!Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Afternoon All
My thoughts go to those poor families in Norway.
A fatal accident along the road from us yesterday so the road was closed for about 7 hours. Had a housefull of waifs and strays who couldn't get home, I had to go to work so DD was left in charge of feeding and watering everyone, good job I had made a vat of pasta sauce in the morning! They got home in the end and my heart goes out to those who didn't make it home from the accident. Was proud of DD, a driver stopped to ask what had happened and then moaned that he would be later getting home and would have to take a big detour - she told him that he should be grateful he was going home, someone wasn't.
Washing on the line, it's a glorious day here, house reasonably tidy and I have painted the front door which was long overdue. Why does red paint fade so much?
Happy Birthday Tappers, have a good day.:bdaycake:
Redruby, sorry your DD didn't get her job, at least they had the decency to let her know.
Bramble - I think you did the right thing telling your boss, he now knows that you are up front and honest.
Flutterby - I am getting quite excited for your house move!
Take care everyone and have a good Saturday. XX0 -
Don't know where the sun has gone, it is grey and cold here and I have put a jumper on!
Julie - I don't do heights either. When we were in Paris DH went up the tower as far as was possible but I kept my feet firmly planted on the ground:)
Tappers -didn't realise it is your birthday honey - have a great day. x:bdaycake:
RRuby - I'm sorry DD didn't get the job. How do they expect the kids to get experience if they don't take on people without it and start them off? My DD2 had the same problem. She printed off shed loads of CVs and went all round our town centre and our neighbouring slightly bigger town centre and got no-where. Luckily a local pub restaurant took her on as holiday staff a couple of years ago and now gives her holiday work when she's back home.
Right, better get on and stop ignoring the CHAOS round here.Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.
