DS came up to meet them yesterday. His MRI scan has shown the aneurism has grown in the last month - appt on Wed to "discuss the options". Anyone any idea what these might be? Trying not to worry, but not easy!!
i'm not sure if its the same but when my dad was ill (he had a brain haemorrage) they said he would haemorrage again due to it being down to a vein and artery in his brain doing the others job. so the pressure was building up in the vein to more than it could cope with then rupturing. they said if he became well enough they would put a shunt in. turned out that it was too far into his brain to do that so they would have done radiotherapy. not sure how they works though as he didnt get to have it."I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0 -
Morning all
Bright & sunny here this morning, I went out last night & didn't get home til 2am, what a dirty stopout I am.
Well you can tell it's the holidays, the fridge is full of chocolate, gifts from grateful teachers & this morning instead of the downstairs toilet just getting a swish & swipe, it got a good scrub, the spiders were evicted & I scrubbed round the taps with a tooth brush. All the windows are open upstairs & the covers turned back to air the bed, WM & DW are both on & there is a rice pudding in the slow cooker.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Got rudely awoken last night bout 3am by my Buzz Light year toy (I know!) going off by itself :rotfl: I'd packed it up in a box for the move and something must have shifted so it was making speeches! I had to sleepily rummage through the box to shut it up!
Well today we get the keys to the penthousemy flatmate is moving in there today. I'm helping her, not just cos I'm nice but she had an op last week so only has use of one hand! going to load up my minibus to move it all across the carpark.
OS wise - WM been on and is about to go on balcony to dry, need to do another load but will probably wait til later as won't get back for ages to put it out to dry. If I'm home for lunch it'll be somethign out of freezer, along with dinner as I'm trying to eat it all up now before I move in 2 weeks time.
Have a good day all

Morning everyone
Thinking of all those in Norway affected by the bomb and shootings x
Dry bright but chilly here this morning. DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock. Had a reasonably productive day yesterday, went to Leavers assembly, was ok, and I did manage not to cry! Made a victoria sponge and a dozen mince pies, went to put the filling in the sponge and hadn't got enough icing sugar, so DS1 bought the icing sugar this morning when he got the newspaper - so need to do that shortly.
Dinner last night was HM bread, chicken kievs, chips and beans/veg for the menfolk, I had fish, jacket potato and veg, we all had ice creams for dessert. On line shop arrived and I had a few substitutions but was ok, have a chicken and bacon lattice pie for DH and boys, I'm going to get myself some sausages out of the freezer shortly. DS1 wants to make some chocolate brownies, so we'll do that shortly. Will see if I can make up a load to put in WM so I can get it line dried. We're going to caravan dealers when DH comes back from work, I opened the wardrobe door at the weekend and the handle snapped in my hand - so need to hunt for a replacement - bet it won't be cheap. Going to be a pretty chilled weekend, hopefully!! :j:j:j
Need to crack on otherwise I'll be on here all morning.
Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Morning All,
Looks like a nice day so will get the washing machine on. Not much to do as I got it all done Thursday. A late start for us and hopefully a chilled out couple of days.
DS and his GF went up the eiffel tower yesterday, rather them than me, I dont do heights.
Just about to have bacon and eggs so we won't need anything else until this evening. Will be baking chocolate brownies and twinks hobnobs today along with a roast pork loin and carrots cabbage, peas and potatoes out of the garden.
A little bit of cleaning to do but the house is reasonably tidy. But will definitely swish the bathrooms today.
Can't believe we have a weekend were we can just potter and nobody needs anything, hasn't happened for ages, but perhaps I shouldn't speak too soon:)
Listed 14 items on ebay yesterday and already had a a few bids and two questions :T I am doing well at the moment, sold 6 things last week as well. They are all just things gathering dust that no one uses. I am working my way through each room and will tackle the loft at some point.
Anyway off to assist DH in the kitchen.
Have a good Saturday all J x

Morning all,
Bright and beautiful day here:j wm is on a hot wash with OH's working clothes, have another two loads to do after.
Oh had a shower last night and left the bathroom light on and the window wide open, by the time we went to bed the bathroom was swarming with moths and buzzy things, dd has a phobia of moths, so OH and I had a hilarious 1/2 hour trying to get them all out, everytime we opened the window to put one put another would come in :rotfl:so a bit of a late night last night
Dinner tonight is chicken legs new potatoes and salad, either OH or dd will cook, will cook extra chicken legs and put some up for next:D week .
DD had a letter yesterday about the job she went for, she did not get it, not enough experiencedont know how she is meant to be getting experience, she volunteers for two charities atm, and just needs a chance.
Tappers :bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake:Have a lovely day, I hope those boys of yours spoil you xxxx

sistercas - love your 3D reaction - when my 26 yr old DD was eight I took her to see Free Willy - she refused to walk out with me after because I was sobbing with the emotion of it all - you have to realise that I cry at a sentimental advert! She now says there is nothing anyone can do to embarrass her - her parents' embarrassing behaviour over the years has vaccinated her for life![/QUOTE]
:rotfl::rotfl:that made me laugh x

Hello all! :hello:
Great to see you all. Well, it's now the summer holiday for me. Yipee! Although my school broke up on Wednesday, I've spent the past couple of days moving classroom as I'm going to be teaching Year 1 in September. Ok, so it didn't take me 2 days to walk down the corridor, but it did take me 2 days to clear out some of the rubbish left by the previous incumbent, put my stuff in and then change the classroom around to how I want it. It looks good, but I'll only know whether it works or not when my new class start to use it!
I got so many lovely boxes of chocs, flowers, pens and teddies at the end of the year that I'm a very lucky teacher. The chocs will be eaten slowly, honest......! I never expect anything (and I'm being serious here) but the most lovely thing that I received was a gorgeous note from two of the parents saying how their children wouldn't have achieved their levels without me. So sweet!
Well, being a Saturday we have the obligatory end-of-week ironing mountain. I need a shower and then I imagine that DH and I will walk down into town. We're going out for a meal tonight at a friend's house so that's quite Money Saving isn't it?! Obviously we'll take a bottle of wine with us and it'll be good to catch up with our friends who we haven't seen for a couple of months.
Have a good day all
