euro car parks - parking charge notice

Hiya, I was issued with a £60 ticket or £30 if I pay within 14days because I parked in a disabled bay in sainsburys as I had my 82 year old Grandmother with me and she wanted to buy some Easter Eggs for my children, she suffers from Arthritus and has poor vision so i thought it would be ok to park in a disabled space as these are nearer to the entrance and have wider spaces so she can open the door wide we were only max 10 mins, am so annoyed that I have been given this ticket, I wrote to them as soon as i got home but looking at this perhaps i should not have contacted them, should i just pay the fine, please can someone advise me what to do0

No you don't pay them. It's not a "fine" and you don't owe them a penny. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

If 5 or 6 people out of 10 pay up without question then they are happy to pursue the other 3 or 4 for a few weeks with stupid red letters, then 1 or 2 might get scared and pay up, then they just let the rest fade away........As Martin says - please be nice - there is no such thing as a stupid question !

Well, MOST of them do this.
Simon R-S is not that clever. Neither is Haswell.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
It might get to a point where they will only pursue the idiots whom "appeal", and saving paying out the DVLA fee for their address.0

yes - best to avoid contacting them - just keep letting them spend money on the silly red letters....As Martin says - please be nice - there is no such thing as a stupid question !

Last I heard he started issuing claims left right and centre. Then the Scun thorpe thing happened, and gave all his victims a cast iron defence.
Shame, really. Mustn't laugh.Je Suis Cecil.0 -

Did he win any though?
He used to be on CAG, he taunted one bloke that he was going to "beat him" in court, and didn't, then posted that he'd been advised by the judge to take the matter to the COURT OF APPEAL......
Which goes directly against what everybody else in the room heard, but he was insisting the judge had told him to appeal (maybe he'd invited him back to chambers afterwards lol).
