euro car parks - parking charge notice

It would cost them £15 to £30 to pay to start a claim they could charge £50 solicitors fees plus what they claim you owed them. If they won they would lose so they may as well lose and not claim.
If they claimed and dragged their sorry ar5se's up to Scotland plus the work put in to the claim they would be losing money. It's far easier to send you scary threats and hope they scare you into paying. That's why they add charges to the list that are not relevant.
Roxburghe are as persistent as a pimple on a millionaires ar5e, but basically all they are is a nuisance!0 -
Thanks for putting my mind at ease once more guys, I really appreciate it.0

Received my Final Warning today. It states their clients have instructed them to write to me one final time before deciding what further action to take and that the solicitor will recommend to their client, two options which are available to then.
1 - Instruct them to prep the required court papers for legal action.
2 - Pass the case to a field investigator with instructions to attend my property.
It didn't feel as threatening as the last one did but I'm curious as to the last point, what is a field investigator? I can't see what right they would have to attend my home, I assume this is scaremongering?0 -
"field investigator" is someone who wanders the countryside examining cow-pats.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

We can confirm it is just scaremongering. They cannot send the boys round, they are not Court bailiffs with a warrant!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Tell them you haven't a field for them to investigate!
Field investigator!
Doorstep collector!
Trace agent!
They certainly love the titles!0 -
Thanks folks, I shall continue to ignore. Hopefully they will give up soon.0

Sorry to but in with an indirect question about Euro Car Parks...wondering if anyone can offer some advice?
Received a letter from Euro Car Parks saying the car had in a retail park car park, which they had been appointed to manage, too long by 38 minutes.
The retail park in question is a Halford's in Worksop.
The letter had two pictures of the number plate, one on the way in and one on the way out.
Of course they asked to hand over £50 going up to £70 after 14 days.
A letter was returned to them saying there is no obligation to provide proof of who was driving the car at the time. There is more than one individual registered to drive the car.
They sent a letter back saying it was a contravention A fine and say they "may decide to make an application to the Court for an order under Civil Procedural Rules 31.16 - Disclosure before proceedings start". They say court action will be brought in any legal proceedings raised by "our client" and say "we would be much obliged if you could either inform who the driver was or forward the parking charge notice to them in order for prompt payment to be made".
That it was not ignored is the first instance was a mistake.
However, any advice on what could be done now?0 -
Just keep ignoring. They are lying to you . "Civil Procedure Rule 31.16" does not apply to the small claims track. Let me guess, was this Roxburgh who sent you this piece of nonsense? What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
