Too frightened to leave neg feedback in case it's reciprocated

You are so charming. What a pleasant person you must be.
BIN anyone?

OOOHHH!!!
I thought OP meant he was using BIN as a description in a title, as in BN, MIP, BNIP etc.
I'm with you now.
Cant quite see why selling using BIN has any effect on the feedback you give or receive though?“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.” Charles M Schulz0 -
I would hesitate to buy from someone with 96.7% feedback though it would depend on the reasons given.
Mr Snooze Control, I would certainly not willingly buy from someone with your attitude as demonstrated on this thread and a few others I have read tonight.
Please would you post your ebay ID or IDs on here so I can avoid your auctions.:D
Thanks.0 -
Frankly I am surprised that OP has not got the message yet.
The feedback you leave says as much about you as it does about your errant customers!
Reap what you sow, etc.
Put it another way - OP has a B&M shop and is often found in the doorway hurling verbal abuse at customers who had spent 20 minutes in the shop 'just looking'. Uncomfortable, isn't it?
You don't see M&S or Boots top brass slagging off their punters do you?

It would help if ebay banned neg feedback where you have gone though the crazy non payment process and finally got you final payment fee back.
You give a neg for non payment - but the buyer can still leave a neg to you for whatever reason.
I just wish people had the guts to leave NEG feedback when they get ripped off. Most dont.
If you follow all processes to get refunds of fees for non payment EBAY itself should automatically register the neg feedback and not the seller.
Just my POV0 -

I could not support that at all it would be a scammers paradise.
Get cheque payments, don't despatch goods and go through the NPB process. Then when you get your FVFs refunded any neg feedback left by buyers to warn other buyers they are likely to be scammed will be removed.
Scammers could operate freely and without hinderance as no one would ever be able to leave feedback to warn others.
No thank you, I'll take my chances with the system as it is.

Do you think selling some type of goods attract more people that are TSFE than others? Selling second hand electrical good (phones, laptops and other items that attract scammers) or drop shipping where the whole process can not be controlled i would think attract more negative than other items. So the group of customers are different which means that some sellers would be more likely to get negs than others even if they tried to offer the same level of service.0

yeah to an extent the above is true. but if you are mainly a seller there are also factors likeKaminari wrote:Do you think selling some type of goods attract more people that are TSFE than others? speed of delivery
how well an item is packaged for sending
how well complaints/issues are resolved
i sell items that are brand new & unopened. i could score well on the item itself, but if i provided a rubbish service with the above 3 points, that would attract negs0 -
It has struck me that the answer to this "problem" would be for E bay to publish feedback from buyer & seller at exactly the same time ie. each party only becomes aware of each others feedback once all parties have posted.
Therefore this will cut down the tit-for-tat feedback and offer buyers/sellers a real chance to be honest...
any views?
