That is very well and good but sharing with others in a 1 bedroom property?
.
I share with my family and even they get hostile because of me being trans, the reason I am leaving is a relationship break down.
if your own family have a problem what is someone else going to do if you share with them and they get hostile.
I will figure some thing out.:A0 -
I do think the raise in age to 35 from 25 is a bit much, however, if you can get social housing this shared accommodation rate doesn't apply from what I understand.“How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.”0

You don't share in a one-bedroom property, you rent one room in a shared property, like many have to do.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
Are you sure your mean Singleton? I lived 5 minutes from there and id live there with no problems , actually its a really nice area if i could chose where i live id live there , i live on my own with just my young daughter so safety is a big thing for us. I think your judging very quickly , if you had said Stanhope then i might of agreed with you but Singleton is one of the nicest part of Ashford.
Even in Stanhope you would be ok , not every one looks for trouble or will start a fight , most have their own issues to deal with to worry about what any one else is doing. If you move into a place thinking people are going to judge you or cause you trouble then your not helping yourself and to be fair , it could happen where ever you go , not every one gives a hoot about what he next door or the women across the road are doing.
Be confident in yourself and who you are , if people see your weakness they are going to pick at it.0 -
err I think the poster meant Singleton as in Singleton Park, Swansea, not Singleton, Ashford! By the way Stanhope isn't that bad any more.
There is as much trouble in Park Farm now as there is in Stanhope.
And as for Singelton, Swansea, I never found it a bad area. In fact I can't think of anywhere in Swansea that is that bad, maybe off Carmarthen Road towards Morriston.
His user name is Kentguy so i assumed Singleton in ashford , not scoland. I am still waking up mind so i could be wrong but he said he was offered a room in scotland if needs be but he wasnt asking about that area but like i said , iv not woken up yet.0 -

Of course nobody's saying share a 1 bed property with others - look for a house/flat share with 2 or 3 other people!
Why should someone who's not working expect to have a whole flat to themselves when people earning decent money accept that they need to share? In fact, renting a place to yourself will hamper your efforts to get a job as you'll find it's not affordable when you start work again.0 -
Well kind of in a predicament. rent down here is expensive £475 cheapest 1 bedroomed place iv seen privately. Council is putting housing benefit down to £250 for under 35's or something along those lines.
how is a person supposed to live on £250 a month when the rent is £475?.
House share until you get a job.I share with my family and even they get hostile because of me being trans, the reason I am leaving is a relationship break down.
You just love using that as an excuse don't you? You've mentioned it three times in six posts. 50% hit rate.0 -

not using it as an excuse. I been trying to get away from here because its true. I rather end my life then stay here
I doubt I would get anywhere with 20 points? and it just seems hopeless.
I would take anyone but my friend said "Yep ashford" that there are rough parts and I thought he said singleton or kennington or some thing alone those lines.
£70 - £80 per week for a 1 bedroomed flat is not that expensive better then a flat share.
not putting flat shares down but who would want to share with a person like me?.
would any of you guys share with me?:A0 -

Hmm, clearly you have a problem with self esteem - but to answer your question..yes, I would share with 'a person like you' (ie a transsexual) assuming they are honest, clean and thoughtful. I wouldn't share with someone who endlessly complains and puts themselves down. Or borrows my underwear/shoes/lippy!0 -
