  • hi does that mean i can claim it back as we do not use the overdraft because thats why we pay the 12.00 a month for can we claim it all back as they have tacking it for years many thanks dawn
  • Advantage Gold has numerous benefits, travel insurance(rated 5 star by defaqto), discounts on home insurance, car insurance, mortgages, loans, cheaper rates on foreign currency delivered to your door, an additional 1% on Reward Reserve accounts, CD/DVD's discounts, extended warrantry, cheaper overdraft rate, £10 000 accidental death cover, discounted worldwide hotels, discounted flight packages. It is not just the overdraft. If you do not benefit from the account change it back BUT you are not able to claim the £12 back.

    Hi all,
I am in the process of preparing a claim against Natwest for over £ 1,000 and I am having trouble calculating the charges. I have an Advantage Gold account with them. Now looking at the statements there are so many lines of 'Charges' which is described as service fee.
    It looks like this

30 Aug 2002 Charges Service Fee
    1JUL-4Aug
    £ 6.00 per period

and then there are quite a few lines like this
    30 Mar 2007 Charges 02MAR-A/C ************ 12.00

Can I claim these charges too?
Please help me in making the claim. Thanks

Ok,the £40 charges are the Advantage Gold Fee(ADGD which is £12) and Unarranged Borrowing Fee(£28) which can be claimed.

This is quite weird seeing this thread here even though i wrote it and plastered it over almost every single charging forum apart from one. The thread has had the effect, i believe of changing NatWest Bank policy in terms of what they will pay out. Some achievement for a banker:D :D:D:D

Thank you ever so much, natweststaffmember. I wanted to make sure that I got everything right before making the claim. The money that I might get back would help me in putting my life on track for now. I am going to shoot off a letter today.
I also noticed that Natwest has taken my monthly loan repayment amount twice in 2004. . Who do I talk to about this? To say that Natwest has ruined my life would be an understatement. And lastly, is there any particular address that I should send the letter to or can I just send it to my branch?
Thank you, once again natweststaffmember, You are a Godsend.
