Morning :hello:
Sitting here in my jimjams and new (Next sale) slippers watching Saturday Kitchen and carefully testing out my voice. It's not great but at least now it's not giving out completely a few notes above middle C, like it was yesterday  so should be just about OK for church choir tomorrow :T Throat still REALLY hurts but is getting better. Will go and have a shower in a minute and the steam should help.
Plans for today:
- pop into town for some Lemsip Max, the Times, and some veggies
- build 2 bookcases and hopefully also another set of shelves
- work out a menu plan for the next week-and-a-bit
- work out a formal list of stuff I NEED to look for in the sales
- unpack some moving-house boxes
TM - I know what you mean about wanting the Christmas decs down. Although I always put up the tree at the latest possible opportunity (Christmas Eve if possible) and leave till Twelfth Night, I've just come up with an ingenious new idea for the layout of my living room which I can't try out until the tree is down
Hugs to all, see you later
Love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape

Morning everyone,
I'm looking forward to today as finally can go home after staying with various relatives from 27th to today. That doesn't sound long, but as still feeling cr*ppy with this pregnancy and trying not to be a pathetic pain in the bum, means that I am desperate to get home where I can please myself.
I've got some phone calls to make tonight and some admin to do for a Committee I sit on (overdue), then planning a lovely lazy morning tomorrow in front of all my tv shows I've missed this week (sad, I know) - Hollyoaks and Celeb BB reunion thing!
The most exciting thing about today is that according to my current dates, I am 12 weeks pregnant today! My first scan is on 8th Jan and I am holding my breath until then (it feels like). I feel pregnant (but could also be psychosomatic as I don't know what being pregnant really feels like, having never been pregnant before!) and have had countless symptoms, have a wee bump (in amongst all the fat), 7 + preg. tests and no period since beg. of October but your mind tricks you that you might be making it all up! So counting the hours until the scan!
Sorry for going slightly O/T there!
Lots of love to you all - have a lovely Saturday!

I think the reason so many of you have headaches etc, is becuase in the run up to the holiday you were running an adrenaline......... now the rush has subsided your bodies are rebelling and telling you to take it easier, not easy I know, when you have a family.
Nice bright morning, but still very windy out, the wind kept me awake for a while last night,(so did OH fidgiting) but did get off to sleep eventually. Christmas decs going back in the attic today, house to be cleaned ready for the new year, No washing new years day please ladies, wash on new years day, wash a life away.......... courtesy of my Gmother.........
Not quite decided what to have for dinner tomorrow, beef stew or chicken, if I keep the chicken it will feed us for 3 days next month, but them it would also feed us Sunday, Monday and Wednesday this week!!!!!!! I am determined to try and cut down on what we spend on food, I have really let things slide over this last month....... we have to pay for our holiday in March, so need to find £160 for the balance by then.....
Nothing planned for the rest of the weekend except to get the house tidied up and finish my sewing.......
OH is in the garden, the little greenhouse we have blew over, its plastic, works well for raising bedding plants, but although it was anchored down the wind was too much for it, nothing in right now, just empty pots.....
RZL, we were both singers, used to gargle with whiskey, helps to clean the throat and relax the vocal cords, never spat it out of course, that would have been a waste of a good liquor!!!!!
off for a cuppa :coffee:coffee before I start working.............Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Morning All,
Hope you are all doing well.....
Valentine- my DH felt the same way about Christmas with my family! (only he didn't have the excuse of being pregnant he's just a grumpy old man!
Plan for today...
Breakfast in Morrisons, Off to Footie then home for HM Lasagne and I think some Garlic Bread from the freezer.
Might get a bit of HW done but you never know!
Have a good day all and hugs to everyone - especially the sickies!

Morning all   (checks to make sure and yes it is:D )
Got loads of cleaning to do today due to a distint lack of it over the last couple of days:o Think its more untidy than anything else but it does have the look of a house that has hosted both TMs party with 13 kids and DIBs with 10 kids all on the same night:eek: (you two are crazy:rotfl: )
Off to visit my spotty god daughter this avvy basically to laugh and point:D She is feeling fine within herself apparantly but is just covered head to foot - will pick up a horsey magazine on the way to cheer her up.
Anyway best get some clothes on and make a start on the house that hosted a tornado:D
have a great day all

Morning all
Huggles to all those who are sick.
I'm dreading the kids going back to school as I have been sleeping for England lately and I don't know how I am going to cope with the early mornings again.
MIL has suggested we homeschool DD as she is just not getting pushed enough at school and is seriously bored. If we could only get her moved up a year that would be a help, it wouldn't phase her as most of her friends are all in the year above anyway. I don't know if I'd be able to homeschool her as even at 5 she's more intelligent than me. She even gets more questions right on the Weakest Link than I do
OS plans for the day are make some scones with the buttermilk left over from making butter yesterday and get yet more washing done.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
F U Fund currently at £2500 -
Moggins, I'm sleeping in a till about 9.30 at the mo  so I don't know how I'm going to cope with school again either.
Interesting what you say about homeschooling. I seriously considered it for all mine a few years ago. I'm so glad I didn't though- they would have driven me insane :rotfl: I need regular childfree time. The person to talk to about it is Chipps (I'm sure she homeschools).
Plans for today - not much:rolleyes:
Leek and potato soup for lunch with cheese on toast
Potato, onion and bacon hotpot for supper with carrots and purple sprouting broccoli.0 -
Morning all,
I hope everyone who is poorly feels a bit better soon, isn't it strange how so many people on here at ill at the moment.
Bit stressed out at the moment as both kids have a cold - not too bad but they are so whingey. All they want is cuddles..... In fact my ds (who is one) is sat on my knee as I am typing.
I have worked out my budget for next year and I want to sort out how much I can save and pay off things today..... Its nice to feel organised.
2007 is def going to be the year that I get the hang of this old style thing:rotfl: . I will menu plan, and batch cook and make use of my stardrops.
Today i am going to be attempting a fish pie so I hope that turns out nice and I am also going to take down some of the decorations but I will leave the tree until New Years Day I think. I am also going to conquer my dirty washing mountain and get all done and hopefully put away by tomorrow.
Well am off now seeeing as dd (4) is now on my other knee.
bye

Trouble is, the only whisky I've got in the house is a 16yo single malt, and it feels like a bit of a waste! Might try the gargling thing, hadn't heard of that one before!
