morning all
trying to get back into the swing of things. have the next few days planned out to try and help a bit. took a sleeping tablet last night and tried to get up at 7 but i still dont feel awakebut got up, bathed and dressed before ds got up (he is soooo lazy when it comes to getting out of bed
) i woke him at 8.30. he's not been wanting to go to bed til 8/8.30 so he needs to get up earlier then hopefully up in the morning earlier
any tips on getting him to eat breakfast?? he's not a morning person and has never really eaten breakfast but i'm worrying he is picking up my bad habits
we've been for a walk to morrisons to get some bread and juice. when we got back i told him that i needed to hoover and he hid upstairs :rotfl: he hates it :rotfl: he's now sat eating rice cakes and playing with his dinosaurs. i really need to tackle the kitchen but just cant wake up
off out this afternoon with a friend and her little boy. getting lunch then either the park or soft play, depending on the weather. i hate soft play places as ds always seems to get ill after being there. they are breeding grounds for germsbut since he already has a cold, i doubt it will make much difference.
dinner this evening is spag bol for boys and tomato pasta for me. right must wake up and get a move onhope everyone is well

Morning all.
98jd; Great news about the wedding suit. DS2 wanted a new suit for his Grandads funeral, not being a frequent suit wearer he didn't think he had anything suitable (sorry!)
Picked up a new suit, shirt and tie from Asda - £30 the lot. Decided that he also needed new shoes so stopped at Asda again on his way to the funeral and bought a pair of black shoes for £10. He scrubbed up well and looked fatanstic, his frugal Grandad would have been proud of him. His Grandad, who had 2 suits, one bought for my wedding and one for my brother's, and alternated wearing them every Sunday until he died at the age of 97. 46 years of wear can't be bad, not sure that the Asda suit will last that long.
Had a quick rifle through the freezer and found some pork loin chops which I will do something with when defrosted. Also unpacked the slow cooker I bought 2 years ago and have never used, ( hitches sackcloth round shoulders and rubs in another handful of ashes). Just off to the 'slow cooker' thread for a few ideas.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Afternoon all! didn't manage to post here yesterday - was on the go all day! worked late, then had to pick up some cash and quote for a job for OH, then drop off his dinner to him, make his lunches, eat dinner then met a friend for a quick drink. Looking forward to a chilled weekend though!
Work need to perform a credit check on me for one of our clients....i'm bricking it, i'm going to have to tell them in advance i'm aware of how dire my financial situation comes across in a credit check and see what they say.
Lunch was scrambled egg for me and tuna pasta salad for OH. I'm having meatballs and pasta for dinner, i think i will need to ferry something to him again, maybe something from the chippy (not OS - i need to really invest in something to carry hot meals for him for dinners - will look online tonight)
Just off to catch up on the thread

Not bad going for me this morning- litter tray cleaned out, loads of washing brought in, new load put out and about to start another spin! (there's only 2 of us, don't know how there is so much washing to get through!) did all the dishes this morning, added more dirty ones so the sink doesn't feel lonely! Had my tesco shop delivered and went to lidl, have mince for cottage pie on one hob, chilli on the other and lentil soup in the slow cooker and did hm pizza with salad for lunch.
And now, a well deserved nap me thinks!!!0 -
Will hopefully be able to log on whilst we are away as have "borrowed" DS2 Ipad - if I can get it to work with the dongle. xx
Hmmm I am not an expert but H has got an Ipad 2 and it doesn't have any USB ports where a dongle would go. It should have built in wi-fi so providing where you're staying has wi-fi you should be able to connect dongle freeHope you and Mooloo enjoy yourselves
Shalva - Happy Birthday to you :bdaycake: hope you're having a lovely day
Lou - is it possible to take only half the tablet so you get a bit of the assistance for sleep but not leaving you so foggy? xx
Feeling in an odd mood. I am tired, kids not been sleeping well last few weeks. think we're gearing up for bumpy road with DS, he just takes everything so personallyHe didn't want to go to school again today (he's fine when he's there) but he goes on about the boys that won't play with him and I just feel out of my depth at explaining to him why other kids act the way they do. I just feel I am not explaining it in a way that he understands
Book came that NPM recommended so will look into that for some inspiration.

Good Afternoon peeps,
Happy Birthday Shalva :bdaycake:
Had a busy couple of days here getting DS sorted to go & care for his dad for the week, have made him a tin of cookies, a tin of cakes, spag bol & cottage pie to take with him & we are now waiting on the phone call so that DP & DS can go pick him up from the hospital & take him home. DD is away to BF's for the weekend so it will be a quiet one for me & DP which is just as well as I have been told by my doctor that I must apply for DLA & I am finding it hard to come to terms with. Will probably have a mini meltdown once they're both gone
Have made enough spagbol for us to have tonight so no cooking requiredit's raining so no gardening so a little snooze with my book may be in order.
Hugs, spoons, hi5's all round.
