Good Morning Everyone
Is very damp and dismal here today
DS has broken up now and went to work with his Dad last night so wont see him for a while, DD is sleeping over at her Bf's so just me this morning - I love having the house to myself.:j
In the office again first thing, did get a lot done yesterday but still more to do. I set my phone timer for half hour - put my head down then have a small break at the end of each half hour - works for me.
Last night we all fancied bacon and eggs so chicken soup will now be made today. Have loads of ironing to do so plan to do that this afternoon catching up with stuff I've sky +'d.
Need to make some plans for the first couple of weeks of the holidays. Plan to join a local gym which has got a lovely swimming pool. Its in a massive conservatory so can be used when the weather is horrible then if the sun comes out they open up all the doors. They are happy for you to take your own food and drink both kids love swimming so think that would be a good option for us. If the weather is hot we go to the beach with a picnic but don't think that will be happening for a while
Anyway, enough waffling from me, have a good day all.x0 -
Morning
Overcast here too, I have loads
of washing that has built up. So will be ploughing through that.
Today - DD2 to school, it's her last day today in reception (officially it's tomorrow, but we're taking the kids for a day out tomorrow shhhhhh don't tell). Then cleaning i'm knackered so that'll be a struggle, still have paid for ironing to do too. Tea tonight SC lasagne.
Have lovely days xxYou know your getting old when yougo to the pub sit outsideand admire the hanging basket
Is officially 48% tight

Morning All
Grey and miserable here again so no washing again.
Welcome 98jdougl
DS beat me to the shower this morning and is just having his breakfast it is his last day at school today because he starts college in September.
So I will have my shower when he leaves.
Food shopping today, - only Aldi to do so that won't be too bad - but I do want to get quite a few packs of peppers to freeze them - I will put some in the dehydrator as well (They are on offer for 69p) I also need some mushrooms, apples, oranges, bananas and eggs and I will pick up a couple of packets of diced beef which is on offer at £1.99 and gammon steaks which are £1.49 for a pack of 2 phew that will come to quite a bit but it will be useful in the winter when gas and electric bills get higher, I will know that I have enough in the freezers to feed us without pulling the belt in even tighter than now.
I am also on the look out for a pressie for FIL who is 83 on 1 August don't know what cos he has everything he wants and he doesn't smoke or drink or eat chocolate ???????? any ideas!
Have good days all xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Morning everyone
Grey and overcast here this morning, but have put washing out - hoping it will get dry outside if possible. DH up and off to work but not stupid early so he brought me a nice cuppa before he left.
Dinner last night was leftover beef casserole that I'd frozen and I added dumplings (to make it s-t-r-e-t-c-h!) very nice it was too, we had mash, carrots, broccolli, green beans and peas, there were cakes etc for dessert for the menfolk. Really trying to be frugal, have done an on-line shop again for delivery tomorrow, but need to make sure I buy everything I need and I'm not popping to shops for things I've forgotten!! DS1 is cooking dinner tonight, he's make pizza, salad and hot new potatoes, will be popping out shortly to get the bits I haven't got in my storecupboard. Boys are going to MIL on Monday and will stay until Weds when I finish work, so will be menu planning just for DH and myself for a couple of nights - very OS! Had hoped to save some more money for our holiday but haven't really saved that much, will need to try before we go - it's not until end of August so still a little while. Ebay may be beckoning!!
Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Morning all
Thanks all :AToday is payday
Me tooand I'm even happier this month cos not only have I had a slight pay rise of about £30/month, but I don't need to pay rent out of this month's wages as my new rental period starts from 23rd. So I've paid this month's rent til aug 13th from last month's wages, then taken the 10 extra days rent from my savings to pay that. So that's £400 towards my holidays saved
Today at work is my colleagues work kids' final presentation, so I'm taking my group up there to watch it. I worked with his group for 5 weeks so will be nice to see them.
Tonight I must get on with packing!! We get keys on Sat so can start moving stuff over from then.
OS wise - been living out of freezer and storecupboard so have meal planned a few meals to use up the stuff, could do with a hoover but may wait til after I've packed a bit more! DW will probably go on tonight too.
Have a good day all

I'm not as big a fan of payday as I used to be, it's always quite depressing after bills are paid and fortnightly shop is done. ho hum0

Good Morning x
Im in the process of sorting out before we leave for our pamper days with Mooloo. Really looking forward to it but Mooloo had some bad news yesterday so really hope that she manages to relax and enjoy it. It is also her 50th birthday tomorrow whilst we are there :T:T:T My DD is helping out with her DGD whilst we are away so have to go and get organised in preparation for a 3 year old :eek::eek:
OS - well I have managed to collect quite a few samples which we can use whilst away. Other than that it is rather the opposite and I will be on a tight budget when we get back. What with DD birthday yesterday, this trip and DS3 birthday next week it is a very expensive time.
Hugs to Sistercas - I know just how you feel.
Will hopefully be able to log on whilst we are away as have "borrowed" DS2 Ipad - if I can get it to work with the dongle. xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Morning All,
Up at 5.30 this morning to take my eldest son and his gf to the airport. DH has gone to work, middle son also off early to work and youngest has gone to Alton Towers. I finally have the house to myself after weeks and weeks:j:j:j aww I will miss them but loving some quiet time to put the house and my mind in order.
I have already vacced and polished, tidied the bedrooms and got my ebay stuff ready to post. Pheww
Also really need to go through food cupboards, freezer etc to see what we have got and not got. Then write a list of just essentials. I need to pop out for washing powder as the sun is peeping through the clouds and will probably dry some washing outside.
Tonights tea will be chilli and rice so quick and easy.
Have a happy Thursday all xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

morning!
I'm back after a few days in Devon with Mum - wish it could have been longer but I did enjoy it and hopefuly she did too.:) Thankfully the weather was kind to us:T
Am off on annual leave till Monday so be ie to do a few jobs and have a relax at home and a good read as I bought yet more books while I was away.I'm not as big a fan of payday as I used to be, it's always quite depressing after bills are paid and fortnightly shop is done. ho hum
I love payday!:T:j Its the only time I feel rich. I get paid onm the 25th then all the DDs come out of the bank on the 1st of the month so for a week my bank account looks healthy for once:D
Plums - was given a bag of plums yesterday and plan to make a crumble with them but have never used plums before - can anyone help by telling me the best way to prepare them please?
Going to defrost a cheese and potato pie for tea to have with beans and maybe a burger.
Have had a good tidy up since I got home and changed the bed - wet here this morning so washing hanging up inside.
Sistercas - I expect its the worrying about money thats stopping you sleeping - probably at the back of your mind, hope tonight is better x x unfortunately my Sistercas fund is empty atm but have plans to put some back in there from now on providing no big bills turn up.
off to do some cleaning this morning then visiting Mum's friend later on.
have a great day all xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning!
Been up, fed and walked the dog, took OH to work, and am back now, about to get the boys up and take DS2 to football camp today. Then back to clean this pigsty:eek: I am not the most dedicated of housewives, but I am ashamed of myself, its really gone downhill with all the running about I have been doing this last few weeks.
Hugs for Mooloo sistercas, Flutterby's friend and family, and anyone else in need.
Happy birthday to Jc's twins too :bdaycake:
Have a good day everyone!
