Tis all joint accounts now (some people can't be trusted and are actually happier having no responsibility!) after paying off his OD and CC (once I found he was being chased for the payments) for the 2nd time I've given up and taken over! I have 3 accounts so I will use one as the bills a/c -the 3rd is my emergency pot, it has the child benefit go in each month and gets used for 'surprises' like the fridge packing up or the car needing repair... which leads me on to my pondering for the day... my car is due service, MOT and tax this month, now normally I'd just go ahead and do all these with the dealer, however a friend has offered to service the car for free (he's not a mechanic but is a tinkering expert - he fixed last month's breakdown for me). Do I go ahead and have the service (it's due a full service, not an interim) and have everything stamped and guaranteed, or let him do it and save £140ish? I do have to drive down south next month and I think I need 2 new tyres soon too, is this money saving too far?
Anyhoo, treated myself to a new oven glove tonight, £4 but I don't feel too bad since the last one was 8 years old next month and well past being useful!:D
New oven glove, im well jelous! he he xx (cant spell jelous)0 -

Ha ha, yeah I'd be up for that one. For £50k a year right? :rotfl:
Turns out the paper does have a pretty great job, working at the high school I'd love my boys to go to, term time and part time only. Down side, around £8k a year. Now that ain't gonna pay these debts. Looks like I get to stay the mum who never gets to take or pick up the kids from school for now. Just wait till I sort this debt!Starting my journey July 2011. Life just wants me to spend!!! £8 on nunchucks today, promised DS1 them for passing his martial arts grading. He's cost me a £1, ahem sorry, the tooth fairy £1 this week already! Thankfully he's not tried to blag anything for learning to ride his bike! Good job really as had also promised him badges for his martial arts uniform (£15) for doing a demo for them, and am buying a crash mat for practice at home (£10). Scariest bit of it all? I'm about to join up too, eek!:eek::eek:Starting my journey July 2011. I know! About time really, if I was ever mugged I'd be done for. My 6 year old can take me down (and believe me that's not cos I'm light!). I know this as my hubby was too chicken to be the practice and I ended up on the floor instead!Starting my journey July 2011.
