You can refuse the Work Programme

I would be very cautious following information from the website publicised by the OP.
By not attending Work Programme interviews a JCP adviser would almost certainly have doubts about your availability to work and would also question that you're actively seeking work and have to suspend your claim whilst a decision maker looked into the case.0 -
Sent my letter to the DWP and a copy to the jobcentre/BDC, almost two weeks ago and have heard nothing. Posted my letter to the headquarters of my provider today (recorded del), and will be going to their local branch in person this week. I will hand them a copy of the same letter, and refuse to sign anything that gives them permission to use my data.
on that link though people are saying 'oh you will get a reply in 48 hrs
Unless its WORKED for someone then this is not a risk Id like to take.
What data do they have on you?0 -
Whatever the jobcentre has unlawfully sent them, that they dont tell you. Plus everything else once you have signed. Name, address, tel no, NI details, CV, some even ask for bank details etc.,
well no I do not agree to anyone having my bank details, ni number and the like. JCP even lose forms and personal info so why would I trust a thrid party. I am not disagreeing to doing the work programme just the info they give out with out my consent.
They can have my address as you can get that in the phone book but why would they need anything esle?0 -
Don't worry LadyMissA JCP would not hand over your bank details, DebiT is on a mission to stop people going on the work programme even though it is very likely that they would suffer financially by not participating.0

work programme is effectively an extension of the JCP and is delivering business on their behalf. Once you are referred to work programme you become their responsibility and JCP will have very little to do with you other than fortnightly signing (in some areas this will be stopped as well). You will no longer see an adviser in JCP as work programme will allocate you an adviser to work with you.
If you do not allow work programme to have your details then they are unable to work with you and this will be seen as non compliance so you will be sanctioned.
There is no opt out for work programme and JCP are only responsible for customers until they reach their entry date for work programme - if after 2 years you are not in employment you will be referred back to JCP.0 -

im just interested but do you happen to know if what you say is true re the information ? anything to back it up at all, does the job centre even hold your bank details, i thought bank details were held elsewhere0 -

the bank details are on the JSA forms and they are in Glasgow where mine was processed. Also I know the name of your bank is on the system as when I call to get my letter for the dentist/doctors etc I have to confirm where my money is paid.
I don't want that info going to someone else0 -

yes that may be so but i asked for proof of it actually happening from the OP0 -
