my husband is looking for a very cheap run around for a few months use, and today we went to look at a peugeot 205, that was up for sale with 8 months M.O.T., the dealer said it had a bit of rust, but with the price bracket we're looking at, we expect rust
what we don't expect is this:eek::eek::eek::eek:, i don't even know if he can legaly sell it like that, i think if the police saw you driving it, they would impound it

Hmm, that looks ever so slightly more than "a bit" of rust.
Stuff it with newspaper, cover it in filler, lick of paint; good as new 0 0

            New wing £30-£50
But it's not MOT worthy, there's required radius for sharp edges (in case you hit a pedestrian) on the MOT test.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

What drugs is a car dealer on?
 Most likely cocaine.0

Bit of rust!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl:How much does he want for this air with the remains of a Pug somewhere in it? If he throws in a new wing you might consider it, but that is only the bit you can see! I reckon the undersides would be totally rotten. Once Pugs start rusting that is it really.0

haha! that made me laugh! offer him a tenner to keep it!0

the wing would be even cheaper from a scrap yard, the main point was that if he's willing to say it has some rust(instead of saying it got half the wing missing), what else is he lying about?Strider590 wrote: »New wing £30-£50

I can only see a hole where the rust used to be, what's the problem?0

Well.... I think we're missing the point, it's an age old car dealer trick, it's all about getting you there, even if the cars rubbish you'll still look at the rest of his stock “I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.” “I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I can just imagine myself stopping, staring at it, turning round and leaving without saying a word.0

cant see what the problem is
theres the lip from the wheelarch to work from so cover the outer wing with gaffa tape where the metal is missing then slap lots of glass fibre behind to the gaffa tape and rest of wing
once cured remove gaffa tape fill in perfections with body filler ,quick rub down with the old wet and dry ,finish off with a £5 rattle can from halfords and its good as new
 some people:mad:
or of course you could pick the bits up off the floor and stick them back on where someone has gone as essment mad0
